Webfishing for me has been a nice way to just talk and socialize without feeling the fear or anxiety from which comes from it, the friendly community and people that play it make me feel more comfortable with talking. I remember when I played for the first time I avoided sitting next to people in game, yes I avoid social interactions even in games. But after playing for a while I realized that most of the people were friendly, which made me feel comfortable to sit next to people and talk to them in game. From this I had a realization that I should just be more open to talking to people, because if I constantly fear I might act weirdly or not speak properly to people and end up having a bad social interaction I'll never improve. And this further made me realise bad social interactions don't ruin your life, they are important part of learning how to be social. I have suffered from isolation for awhile and still am, for a long time I never knew why I felt they way I did, why I just wanted to hide from everything. But eventually I realized what the cause was, unhealthy social connections which made me feel too uncomfortable to socialize. To describe how I felt, feel as if you get criticized and made fun of for everything you do that could be seen as a mistake or even just a weakness constantly. People like this simply put are revolting and just awful to be around, you are pathetic if you are so insecure you have to insult others to make yourself feel better. I cut my ties with this friend group once my two "close friends" constantly made fun of me for being gay, even though I told them that I specifically hid the fact that I'm bisexual (not gay btw) because I feared being discriminated. Webfishing for me has been such a nice game to play after having to feel so hidden all the time, I could actually say that I'm bi without fearing for my own well being. I could actually talk to genuine, nice people who didn't judge you for everything that you do. I enjoy being able to be open after so long of feeling like I needed to hide, that's why I made this comment in the first place. To be open about my experience with this game and my life in general, being honest and open about my feelings makes me feel human. If you ended up reading all of this sorry for writing so much, but I hope that you might be able to relate to how I feel in some way. There's a lot more that caused me to Isolate myself and leave the friend group but its far too personal for me to share, but I'm happy to have shared my experience with this gay little fishing game because it has genuinely helped me a lot with where I'm at rn. If your depressed or ever have suicidal thoughts know that things will get better, it takes time to realise whats making you feel the way you feel. Try to find the root of your struggle and cut it, move on from it and better yourself. See yourself for who you truly are, and accept who you are as a person.

I also just talked to a really nice guy Irl today that I think I'm gonna be friends with, so my life is starting to improve already which makes me feel at ease. I wish you good luck with your future too, your video inspired me to say this so that means something. I usually never comment on videos, yet alone talk in general. But something about this video made me feel compelled to, because I appreciate this game a lot too. Keep doing what your doing, because you managed to make a very introverted person speak up.

As someone who hasnt had friends for many years now, the feeling of companionship from talking and sitting alongside strangers for many hours fishing, then seeing them the next day at the same hours revitalized my sense of belonging and being accepted, to the point where i stay up to 5am playing this game lol

I also think Webfishing is just a really genuine game and just goated in general. I always wanted a game like animal crossing, but none of that nintendo bullcrap attached it. And this is literally it I also think the reason why its exploded in popularity is because of the chill vibe it creates. Its such a breath fresh of air even though conceptually its already been done before. I do hope lamedeveloper keeps going with webfishing but it is a 1 dev team game so makes sense the way it is. goated vid you earned a sub tbh :>

Honestly I think the lack of voice chat goes such a long way towards making this game appeal to socially inept loners. Hop on another third space game like VRChat for two seconds and you'll probably have some big guy in his late 20s rolling up to you shouting "LELELELELELELELE browhothefuckareyou???" but in webfishing even if someone's being really overbearing, the lack of voice chat makes it easier to digest what they're doing. IMO it also makes breaking into conversations a little easier so you don't wind up being one of the people sat staring at themselves in a mirror. Not to mention trans people and anyone otherwise uncomfy with their voice won't feel weird speaking to people as their preferred gender. It just works and I was immensely relieved to find out the game doesn't have voice chat.

Started playing this game for like 5 days now. Within those time span, I played the game at first with my friend who is the one started to recommend me this cheap game, then remembered telling him at some point to going in a public servers to test it out. As I gone in few servers with a low expectation, I already started to interact with some people, then made some friends along the way. Even though yesterday, I maxxed all my rod's and lures out and after all that ? It become a real comfort game, just...fishing and interacting. This game always be the one game I would just plop on my seat and like "Well, time to fish again !"
