I saw Eddie in Rapid City together with 38 Special in summer of '84. He opened and sang a great set with his excellent band. After his show, he went back to his hotel (Alex Johnson Hotel) and walked into the upstairs club they called AJ's. The band playing recognized him and they all but handed over their instruments. I missed that but the word was he played another hour set for those lucky folks. I reckon that is exactly the kind of guy he was. RIP Eddie, you were great!

One of my all time favorite rockers because I got to meet him at my job. I saw a guy walking around in the employee area in our hotel. I confronted him. He turned around and I was floored. All I could say was, you're Eddie Money!!! He smiled and said yeah. He told me that he hated just sitting in a hotel room. So he likes to walk around talking to people. So I took him and introduced him to my banquet staff. They flipped out. He talked with them and signed autographs. He was such a cool, nice guy. He loved his fans and appreciated them.

Epitome of the 80s. This man came around Detroit 20 years later and people still loved him. His target market might have dwindled by then but he was still remembered. I remember the morning radio shows live with him in concert years after his peak and he was a humble and likeable feller. He kinda made it at this point, then he was gone. It's March 2023 and the world is upside down. I was thirsty and thought of this song and had to search and play it and I'm somewhat aligned with the world again for at least a little bit.
