Meaning they both did not have the collateral needed to sustain GME buying. So basically NO Robinhood did not cheat anyone. They did what they had to do. This is the consequence of zero commission trading. If you are not smart enough or don’t have enough knowledge to know this stuff then you should maybe stick to index funds which will likely give you more ROI anyways.

As someone that started at the end on August I'd suggest you use both but start with robinhood. Also make sure you do a ton of research and don't be afraid to get started. Best way to learn is by experience

Webull has actually research and analyst tools, meanwhile Robinhood has none. The Robinhood Gold research tool is a joke even if there’s data on a specific company the research doesn’t tell you insider information nor updated news information, etc. In fact I’ve found a couple of errors on the Robinhood platform in regards to EPS and employee size. Robinhood is a joke!

@@antonioyanez1333 I dont know, I buy after hours all the time. Maybe Some of the stocks are not bidding after hours. They may still come up in the charts and but sometimes they only allow you to sell if you have shares with them. Personally though, I havent had problems with buying after market.

My money is hijacked right now after that power or server outage they just had inMarch through Apriul 2021. You get locked out of your account and can't back in without sending an ID through a screenshot only and not by email, and then they say they can't read it when it is perfectly clear when you send it via iphone. I just sent in 7 copies of my license (and God knows where that is going to end up) - if they can't read any of those, then something is very fishy. I am sick to my stomach over it. I am waiting to hear back and tomorrow is when I call the FTC and the Attorney General in Menlo Park. I am so done.

On Webull, they offer After-market trading hours (4pm-8pm), & Pre-market trading hours(4am-9:29am). So this is a good thing. The other thing, Webull does not offer is 1- Fractional Shares and 2- OTC stocks / Pink sheet stocks to trade (Penny stocks). They should offer this also according to me. Maybe they will offer in the future.

Webull it too complicated for beginners, meaning there is too much information which can be confusing. Robinhood has a much simpler layout. I don't understand why some brokerages do fractional shares and some don't, also why some have pre and after hours trading. And Robinhood not having a beneficiary option is stupid, it's just a line with a name for crying out loud. You'd think they'd all be the same. Also the free stocks they give people are never the expensive ones.

On paper trading (WeBull) - if you hit "reset" you can set a specified amount of money. So you can say "I'm going to practice with exactly how much money I have" before you actually do anything with your real money.

The only other thing I like about Robinhood over Webull is that the money I transfer into Robinhood is instant buying power. Webull I have to wait for at least 4 days for cash to settle. One other thing the chart on Robinhood sucks so I use Webull chart if I am on the go.

@@harveymolina7942 I don’t use the RH card. But as soon as I hit the transfer on the RH button from my account I can use that money that is in route. Webull even makes you wait a few days for cash to settle after you sell a stock. It’s not instant buying power which is important when you first start out and even later when you just want to buy something that’s on sale.

i came here to find out about webull. didn't know you had to buy whole shares. i started with "drips" many years ago. i mailed in checks. i own a hand ful of stocks. how do you get money into these apps.??

Both apps connect into your designated bank account and do an ACH transfer of money based on however much you set to transfer.

I use both apps, I use Robin Hood for investments and I have Webull for long term investing and my Roth IRA which Robin Hood doesn’t offer.

I’d heard somewhere that if you transfer a portfolio of significant size from one platform to the other, that the platform you’re transferring to will pick up the charge that you get hit with from the brokerage you’’re leaving. Any truth to that? I wouldn’t mind consolidating everything into 1 place as I have securities in several M1 accounts & RH. Thinking to move everything into Webull 🤔

Yes! Typically (and usually) both will pick up the costs. In their app if you go to the transfer of funds section you'll find some info on how that will work.

I just opened an account in webull. Thought it was a cash account but I see it says margin.Is that bad? how do I change to cash.... Great Video breaking down the big differences. I noticed Robinhood didn’t have a lot of stocks I wanted to buy so I got a TD Ameritrade account.. TD is much more complicated to understand-especially with option trading so I just am putting long term stocks in TD. WeBull seemed complicated with options so I didn’t open up a account but I may go ahead and get one just for the pre-market trading.. Gosh this is sooooo much to learn but I’m having a GREAT time learning. Thanks again!

Normally they have their promotion focused on free stocks for sign up and additional free stocks once you fund your account (typically with $100 or more)

For day traders, I've got one big one to add that pisses me off. Robinhood's extended trading hours hours falls short by 5 hrs in pre-market and 2 hrs in post market. Eastern standard time incluiding extended hours: Robinhood: 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Webull: 4:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

does that mean. . .only 5 hours of premarket data before open at 9:30am and 2 hours of data after close at 4pm? and if so what resource do you rely on to compensate for that, If I'm making my game plan looking for good gaps at 8am EST I want to see everything that happened since 4pm yesterday, right, that's really your issue right, not seeing the whole story from the previous days close?, what can a cheapskate use for free to get the overnight data to identify good gaps with?
