I bought a 40 watt Xtool S1 primarily based on your review. It is due to arrive tomorrow. I hope I haven’t bought the wrong one. Your reviews shows the pros and cons so well but it leaves me not sure how significant they are. Also, your home is lovely and my goodness you have so many books!

Hey again 👋. I noticed your reviews of the xTool S1 40-watt and the WeCreat 20-watt lasers detailed work is similar on both lasers. So, my question is: for the new WeCreat 40-watt, would you consider it over a 20-watt laser for what you do? I like the xTool S1, but there is no camera and it is overpriced. Some people claim a 40-watt laser isn’t going to give you detailed engraving, but your engraving on the 40-watt is impressive. I am about to plunge in to getting the new WeCreat 40watt today but will wait for your feedback. So, what are your thoughts?

Hi Skyler - Jack from SE San Antonio area - I have no experience using a Lazer in the shop. The very first Lazer video I watched was your review of the Longer Ray 5 10 W and decided at the end of the video to buy one. I setup it up and I am ready to try my inauguration "burn". Now if I had seen this video first, I would have made the decision to buy this one instead, but I would still be saving up for it...:) This one really makes everything look so easy.

I noticed you engraved not using bi-directional. Is that not an option? Though I get cleaner engraves not using bi-directional.

The bi-directional engraving is disabled in their software at this time. Hopefully that will be enabled in the future.

Hello and thank you for this review. I cannot get rid of the feeling this was a very biased review. As somebody deciding whether to buy a laser engraver and which one, I would love hearing and seeing some comparison in such a review video, especially if you say you are so experienced with other engravers. Considering you have reviewed the X Tool and started the review by saying this engraver comes with features other engravers lack, why not point out what these are? Maybe an idea for a comparison video? And what a beautiful library you have!

I saw a laser engraving of an old photo done on a piece of three quarter inch pine plywood that had a brownish grey wash on it. It was perfect even close up. Step back a couple of feet and it looked three dimensional. It was absolutely amazing. I am going to try to emulate it. The picture did not look dithered. And I can't explain how they did it but every detail was perfect.

@@chrisoliver3851 no Chris it wasn't. It was at the Lucas Mansion in Hiddenite, NC. A company that does laser engraving and laser art had a display there. I am going to go to their place of business and see if I can pick their brains a bit. I don't know if they will let their secret out or not. But if they do I will be happy to share it with you.

This laser is very impressive but I only wish it had a pass through. Some of my projects are up to 20 inches long. BTW there is a work around that allows the use of Lightburn. If interested watch "The Louisiana Hobby Guy" review of this laser and start at 41 Minutes. I wish you would do a review of Roly Lasermatic.

I own the Vision. It is very well made and customer support has been stellar. They are a new company that I predict will have a long and successful future.
