People saying they'd be mad, no, you'd pay for the more expensive option that had the frosting on it. This option isn't for you. If the couple wanted the slices to have frosting/fondant on them, they would have paid for that option. With this option, the guests don't see the sheet pan cakes, and they get nice pieces like the ones that came in the sampler. Personally I like this option because I'm not a fan of thick frosting anyway.

No, I'm mad because the wedding cake industry is overpriced as is and this is adding to it. I bought my wedding cake from a reputable cake shop for $120. That's reasonable, but a lot of these cake content creators are charging like $300-600. I'm guessing she's charging around $200 for this and if I had just shelled out $200 I would be livid if it showed up like that.

Aside from being a great financial move, I think it's the best decision tastewise. It ensures the freshest cake possible. @@victoriasmith8570 back in the Stone Age, the dummies I made for the shop (the models) were frosted in royal icing. It also helps me not to have to carry an exceptionally heavy cake, it is also easier on the catering staff not making as much of a mess disassembling a 4 or 5 tier cake. Many bakers disagree with the "dummy" and "kitchen cake" concept, believing it is not more economical for the bride and groom, however; to me, it can be more economical and far less stressful, plus you can make the dummy ages in advance so stress is reduced as well, but that's just me.

Im getting married in June and we're having a really small 'wedding cake' like 6-7 inches that is just going to be for me and my husband, and for the guests we are doing 4 different flavoured cupcakes, theyll all be simply decorated in the theme of the wedding. I think a combination would be ideal. The first layer of the fancy cake be actual cake and rest fake and then have the sheet cake for the guests. This way you can still get the pictures, you can cut into the cake, and it doesn’t appear fake.

Omg cake would be my jam if it had a crunchy aspect like biscoff cookies! You’re a genius

I love this style of cake, & the idea of a decoy! I think it would be fun to even serve pre-made icing cups on the side, with some berries on top; for those who love more icing!

It's a terrific option. The time and expense that go into the tiered cake are beautiful, but don't add a thing to how it tastes. Saving money and giving delicious sheet cake slices to guests is very smart. Soooo much easier to slice, too!

I love that very much, it makes it super affordable for the couple. I kind of wish I went this route for me and my husband's wedding back in 2022.

This is such a great idea because nobody has time to try to maneuver cutting all those layers and by the time they take it to the back….the guests would never know

Is that something new? To make the main tiered wedding cake styrofoam now! And then make the guests and the happy couple the large sheet cakes? And is it only for outdoor venues or all venues? And what about the one year anniversary cake for the couple? Do you make a separate small cake for them to freeze? Sorry for all of the questions! ❤

freshly made?! ill take the sheet cake for that reason alone💙

Did this for my wedding. It was great! We got to do more flavors bc not all flavors hold up in tiers very well, and it was way cheaper. Would definitely recommend.

We just had a small wedding with a small wedding cake (around 60 guests). My husband and I are pretty introverted so we just don’t have 250 people to attend an event. I can see this being helpful for someone who has a massive event and a tight budget.

It looks beautiful, great idea.. But one question: Did u put the sheet cakes in the box, did you put more frosty on them? It didn't look like there was enough???😊❤

It makes a lot of sense! Personally, I dont even care about a fancy wedding cake. I just want it to taste good. The styrofoam cake would be an aesthetic bonus that I can live without, but it's a nice detail to provide that as a service!
