The Addams are into the macabre alot of the things we'd say are wierd are things they like. They really are a loving family though they just show it in extremely strange ways. Wednesday in this show is going through her rebellious teenage phase.

Comics started in 1938, TV series in the 60's and movies in the 90's... Charles Addams created the family and by all accounts was weird and dark, so that's the family he created, kooky and spooky

The piranhas-The Addams raised them in the 60's TV series. Miss Weems-A babysitter from a 1956 comic panel. There are a lot of iterations of the Addams family. In the 60's, Lurch (the actor who portrayed him also was in Star Trek) and the Gomez and Morticia actors in the 60's TV show guest-stared in the Batman TV series as villains) was very popular and there was a 1965 dance made after him called "The Lurch" using his tagline "You R-A-N-G?" and where he taught people how to do "The Lurch Dance". Lurch guest cameoed on Batman. The Addams guest starred in Wednesday is Missing in Scooby Doo. There was animated series in the early 70's. There were Addams Family TV reunion show's in the 70's and perhaps the 80's. Outside of weird cartoon antics, like Gomez being eaten and regurgitated by a swamp fish, the Addams were just macabre and had no powers. I think that changed with the 90's films. I hope you enjoy the series.

Stef! This autumn you've GOT to watch Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. It's such a good show, and perfect for autumn time. A fell in love with that show and the characters, and sadly, one of the young actors died... Motorcycle accident.

At least morticia's powers are employed but never have confirmed. Generally speaking of the previous editions have had Wednesday too young for power manifestation the way at least the fan canon had the powers working. PS this is much more hogwarts ask then proper Adams is.

So no one watched Legacy (2018 - 2022 TV series)? About a school or supernaturals? Witches, werewolves, vampires were the main ones and there were others like faeries. All sorts of monsters they would fight. Was a spin-off of Vampire Diaries and The Originals.

this isn't the series to get a grasp on the overall addams family. borrowing from wikipedia "The Addamses are an odd old money clan who delight in the macabre and are seemingly unaware or unconcerned that other people find them bizarre or frightening." this show got their humor prettyu well but the magical creatures and powers were a new addition and the family is not fully explored as the series focuses on wednesday. i recommend watching the original tv series theme to get an idea of the family. it was an old time faily sitcom back in the 60s. slightly more dark than the munsters if you are familiar with them. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kIuYeoqIr5xrers
