It was a big day at the farm today. We had all our gate entry ways concreted and the marine boards for the new pool ramps arrived. We make our ramps (same as in our big sports pool) from a fibreglass reinforced polymer which is the same heavy load material used on jettys and steps into the sea water. It’s quite an impressive material, because it will take 450kg in a very small area of just one inch squared. We now just need to put them together and install them in the pool.
Elly the Red Heeler was super excited to be at the farm today. She was very keen to join the pack and has come a long way with her confidence since her first day at the farm a few weeks a go.
Zac surprised us all today. Before I say what happened, for those new followers, Zac the Staffy has had swimming lessons at the farm over Summer so that he can play his favourite game of swimming after the big ball in the dam. Many people ask why he still wears a jacket. He wears one because his body build can make it quite challenging at times and when he quickly turns in the water he sometimes forgets to paddle and keep his bottom up and therefore he sinks. Life jacket for safety. We call it his super cape and he loves that thing. When he knows it’s that time he goes over and noses it telling uncle Luke to put it on. So today, everyone was on the dock, Luke threw the big ball off the dock and into the water and Zac got caught up in the excitement of the pack and jumped off with his mates. Wow, we were speechless! Way to go Zac!
The heated magnesium pool was a hit again this afternoon. Wednesday’s pack is surely our water baby pack! There is so many water lovers! They love jumping after the squeaky Kong toys and of course Luke. It’s pure joy to watch for us, seeing them enjoy it so much.
