Everyone sees just about any open and close female friendship as more than friends. That always happens. Every damn time nowadays. I respect your opinion, but this has happened so many times. People are trying to force these creators to make their main characters gay. It’s getting ridiculous. Why can’t Wednesday just be mostly asexual? It certainly fits her character more. She has a crap ton going on right now and I don’t think she has any interest in anyone right now. I think that this friendship is something so special, so powerful. And to make it another female gay romance like every other show in the last 5 years would just take away from that specialness. A main character being gay is no longer unique, it is no longer bold. It’s just routine. But two extremely close same sex characters who are straight. That’s special. Two characters who care so much about each other, who would die for each other…but not because they are in love. That is truly an unbreakable and incredible bond. Besides, that bond could be tested in more ways than a romantic bond ever could. They break up, they make up, they are back together, they break up again, they make up again, they are back together again. Same old same old. But friendship is not always guaranteed. When you have a truly mutual love for someone then chances are things will be okay in the end. But when it is a friendship. It’s not so assured. The closer the friendship, the easier it can break and crumple. The easier it is to backstab and lie. The closer the romance, the harder it is for those things. Honestly, I think the best thing would be if Enid is gay or bi and confesses her feelings to Wednesday. Not necessarily that she is attracted to Wednesday, but that she has feelings for another girl. And Wednesday, being Wednesday, doesn’t really understand the concept of human emotion. Especially not towards the same sex. But Wednesday decides to help her and only makes it worse. Eventually, Wednesday learns that she does have an interest. In guys. But it’s not enough to chase after. Enid doesn’t get this. Wednesday gets all emotional for the first time in forever and just says she doesn’t know who she is yet. She doesn’t think she has interest in girls, but at the same time…her interest in guys is minimal. But they respect each other’s sexuality. Maybe her and Enid do date, for a while. But then they both realize something. Enid realizes that her love for Wednesday does not extend beyond a close friendship. And Wednesday realizes that maybe she doesn’t like women. She realizes that maybe she’s into guys. She’s scared of these feelings. But Enid let’s her know that…it’s normal. It’s okay to have those feelings for people. And it’s okay to open up to people. Not pour your heart out, but just be honest. Wednesday realizes that she isn’t into women, but still is unsure how she feels about men. The thought crosses her might that maybe she’s asexual, she realizes the does want someone to love her because she’s just never much had that before. But she knows she isn’t ready nor strong enough to handle that yet. She doesn’t want to handle that yet. She’s content with letting it happen when it happens. I mean damn, you know how rare that is now? THAT would be something special.

Wednesday is brilliant about many things, but she is a babe in the woods regarding human emotions and relationships. Clearly, she loves Enid more than she loves anyone else, so I think it would be natural for them to at least explore the possibility that their love is romantic. This is my proposal for a Wednesday and Enid plot line for Season 2. Season 2, Episode 1, they get together as a couple. However, after a couple of episodes, Wednesday realizes that, at this point in her life at least, she is aromantic asexual, and discerns that a same-sex relationship isn't right for her, either. Since tenderness is absolutely outside of her domain, instead of explaining that she really loves Enid, but not in "that way", she drives her away be being harsh. For the second half of season 2, they are bitter at each other, until, as you propose, Wednesday risks her life to save Enid. Ragged from the fight, her first thought is non-the-less for Enid, and they fall again into each other's embrace, platonic soul-mates.

There's a ton of LGBTQ members who are minors themselves, and the people shipping wenclair are minors as well. I'll even give you an example of two cartoon characters who are canonly LGBTQ and minors: Luz (bisexual) and Amity (Lesbian). Its perfectly fine to ship Wenclair, but I agree on the "Wednesday isn't gay" part. As a wenclair shipper, it's pretty obvious Wednesday isn't gay. She *COULD* be bisexual, but that's unlikely.
