OK, let's just clear this up now. The Addams Family members are as follows Gomez - the father Morticia - the mother, maiden name Frump Wednesday - the daughter Pugsley - the son Uncle Fester - mostly Gomez's brother though in the 1960s series he was Morticia's uncle Grandmama - in the 60s series and two recent animated movies she was Gomez's mother, in the 90s movies she was Morticia's mother (they joke about it in the 2010 musical, 'My mother? I thought she was your mother!" Lurch - the butler, no one's quite sure what he is but most people think he's some sort of Frankenstein. How much speech he's capable of depends on the depiction Thing - the hand that moves by itself There are of course various relatives, uncles, cousins, aunts, etc that we either meet or are referenced to, but the most famous one is Cousin It, who's notable for basically just being all hair with nothing underneath except for some arms we sometimes see, and for speaking some form of gibberish that only the family can understand.

6:31 In case you're wondering, yes that's a snake that just poked its head out of Ajax's cap. He's a Stoner meaning he's a gorgon, he has snakes for hair and the ability to turn people to stone with a look so long as his snakes are showing - that's also including himself if he sees his reflection. Medusa was the most famous gorgon in the mythos, going from originally just being a gorgon with no backstory apart from the assumptions that she was born a gorgon, to being born a beautiful woman who was transformed/cursed into being a gorgon after she was assaulted by Poseidon in Athena's temple - originally the story was that Athena made her a gorgon to enable her to take revenge on men who would look upon a woman that way, then they turned it into her being punished by Athena for having sex in her temple (Athena was a virgin goddess and the gods don't like anyone having sex in their temples unless its with them anyhow). She was eventually killed by the greek hero Perseus, no so much out of seeking fame and glory but as a quest to save his mother from an unhappy marriage - he's one of the few Greek heroes who has a happy ending and a fairly decent personality who doesn't become arrogant and fall to hubris with their life ending in tragedy and most of the time shame.

I am old enough that I watched the original sitcom version of “The Addams Family” in the mid-1960s, so the characters are very familiar to me. By the way, Christina Ricci, who plays the dorm mother, played Wednesday in the Addams Family movies made in the early 90s. I am three episodes out at the moment, and I’m very much enjoying this series.

The Addams family is so well-know, whether the original series or the 90s movies or whatever, I don't think I've ever seen a reactor watch Wednesday totally blind without knowledge of the earlier versions. It gives this video a great uniqueness imo.

Loved Wednesday. Can I recommend the movie pride from 2014, it's based on the true story of lesbian and gay involvement in the 1985 miners strike and a really cool part of LGBT history, think it's a sin but less depressing.

What should be next on this channel once we've finished season 1 (by the way, has season 2 been confirmed yet?), the 60s tv series, the 90s movies (meaning the 1991 Addams Family movie and the 1993 Addams Family Values movie, maybe/probably not the TV movie Addams Family Reunion, that one wasn't as good), should we look at the 2019 and 2021 animated movies or not? Of course there's also the 90s animated series, that one was pretty good.
