The next big science video has been recorded, but editing it is proving to be a lot of work

HAVE THE PERSON SEND IN A PORTFORLIO. Check their work to see if it's up to par, and if it's actually their work. Have them send in references. You're essentially hiring, so you need to treat this like a job.

I asked for portfolios, but then I noticed some people were using stock animations, I was even able to track some of them down. But then I realized that even if I think a portfolio is genuine they could just have stolen animations from a more obscure site I'm sure I'll figure it out though, but it's difficult

"SU(3) is way too complex" - maybe because its fundamental representation is complex? ;)

Mathematics means equations and their transformations. You possibly cannot show a series of transfornations without soon clogging the viewer's screens, and I figure that's why you need animations: to scroll up. Or it could be vector composition and manipulation. Now my unsolicited and possibly unneeded piece of advice, if such or a similar sequence will be the course of events. • With equations, scrolling up works better; with graphic systems, scrolling left does. • Always keep the equation to be transformed (Eq. 1) in clear view. [For graphics: Always keep the graphic to be transformed (Gr. 1) in clear view.] • Animate copying Eq. 1 into Eq. 1c. placing the latter below the fore. [Animate copying Gr. 1 into Gr. 2, placing the latter to the right of the fore.] • Animate the transformation of Eq. 1c into Eq. 2. [Animate the transformation of Gr. 1c into Gr. 2.] • If any term of Eq. 1c. gets cancelled during the transformation into Eq. 2, fade it out slowly (some seconds, enough for the viewer to identify it). [If any graphic item has to vanish, fade it out slowly (some seconds, enough for the viewer to identify it).] • Once the transformation is complete, pause for the viewer to compare both equations [both graphic systems] and check out the transformation. Four or five seconds per transformed term [transformed graphic item] should suffice. Failure to pause long enough will most likely result in the viewer rewinding and pausing the video, which could be annoying if there were many such transformations. Keep in mind that this could be new to the viewer, needing more time than you. • After the above pause, scroll up Eq. 1 and Eq. 2 to make Eq. 1 vanish under an imaginary, opaque zone extending down to an imaginary line above that where Eq. 1 had been shown, especially if explanatory text has been showing in that zone, until Eq. 2 occupies the place of Eq. 1 for a new transformation. [After the above pause, scroll left Gr. 1 and Gr. 2 to make Eq. 1 vanish under an imaginary, opaque left margin, until Gr. 2 occupies the place of Gr. 1 for a new transformation.] I have watched many videos with that kind of transformations. Some channels are frustrating and I ended up unsubscribing, fed up of rewinding, pausing, replaying. I hope you have better luck!

Geez dude, why don't you go ahead and make your own video? You obviously have your own ideas of how it should be done.....

@@itiscujo Currently, I'm busy designing a microprocessor and microcomputer to test a handful of my inventions. I plan to make some videos on the nature and texture of cognition (yes, I've solved exactly what cognition is), but I currently lack a place I could call a studio.

hey would it be helpful to have someone who's v interested in the subject but also v much a layman read over the scripts? i'd be delighted to do so if you like. (and i'm a professional writer/editor, so ... i mean, i know what i'm doing as far as editing goes.)
