On day 3 just passed 72 hours. Been taking NAC and ashwaganda ksm-66 for 2 weeks prior and honestly the withdrawal symptoms are so minor compared to previous attempts. Slight cravings and abit of sweating, sleep sucked the first night but now i just go to bed when my body tells me (even at 2am) and fall asleep no worries. Ive always eating healthy and exercised. Plus practice meditation, wim hof, yoga

Today is my second day sober. The word PATIENCE absolutely is what is needed. With my withdrawals, it is noticeable that my mind wants a quick escape to the uncomfortable feeling of clarity. But I’ve decided to make this change now, so that I don’t fail out of Aerospace Engineering before it’s too late. I no longer can handle the guilt of continuing to pass my dreams away. I hope everyone can find the same for themselves.

Addiction is one of the worse things a person can go through! Bad thinking is one of the most prevalent addiction triggers. This is why managing your thinking is the most effective relapse prevention of all the recovery strategies. People relapse, because they can't deal with the withdrawal symptoms and aren't getting the right medical and social support. Shout Out to those in recovery and those yet to find recovery, either way, Love you all!❤👋❣👍

Just passed one week of no weed. I found myself looking up videos of people with chs who are able to smoke after taking a certain amount of time off. Honestly i had a rough day cause of this. I was thinking that maybe one day I will be able to smoke using moderation. I always saw weed as something that god gave us to feel good without health risks. It’s pretty hard to think that I will never be able to smoke again. I think I might actually give it a try in another couple weeks or so. What are your thought on people who had chs and are able to smoke with moderation?
@VictoriaNavarro7
@VictoriaNavarro7 10 ай бұрын
Hey! Speaking from experience, a couple of weeks is too soon. I tried moderation at 3 weeks and I ended back to smoking daily. Just take it day by day, after a few months of sobriety, you'll feel so much better that you wouldn't want to mess up your progress .

I smoked after 10 days and I was so high..the day after I felt weird and wanted to smoke again but it was easy to resist the temptation my goal was also to control my addiction and not to quit completely now I smoke on the weekend and I control my consumption easily you will always have cravings during the week for example but if you are decided you will manage it and once you stop you will see life when you are high differently it can be different for everyone but here is my experience it is possible to smoke occasionally and it is much more pleasant than doing it every day

About 6 months ago I made it 7 weeks without any THC after consuming daily for 16 years. When I relapsed, CHS didn’t return immediately, but it came back with a vengeance after smoking for a month or two again. Also, do you really believe that God gave us weed so we could just be blasted all the time? You said weed is your drug that doesn’t pose health risks, yet in the same post you talk about stopping weed because of its impact on your health (chs). Maybe it’s a good time to make sure that you are absolutely certain which God you are worshiping. And I say that from experience, not judging. Wishing you the best of luck. It’s worth it. Exercise, supplements, and diet are the cheat codes to surviving the withdrawal. Then you’ll see how addiction has been deceiving you once your mind clears a little. Ask God to reveal the truth to you and you won’t want to go back. Life will be better. Finding that inner peace becomes possible again. Finding the right perspective makes quitting easier than you ever thought possible...you got this.
@GodBlessYourSoul777
@GodBlessYourSoul777 10 ай бұрын
Oh yeah, and another thing that really sucks about CHS is that CBD can trigger it too! So don’t make my mistake and continue consuming CBD after stopping THC. Those of us with CHS can’t do that, it just prolongs the suffering and withdrawal. Maybe try NAC or KSM-66 instead. I’ve also found success with using valerian root or kava to sleep, as the first week or two can be brutal.

Though recently, I had a meeting with my college counselor and was told I need a 3.8 GPA for competitive transfer to Aerospace Engineering Universities. It’s not worth going back to, or else you wouldn’t keep trying to quit! Idk about you, but most people embarrass the shit outta themselves when high and don’t realize it (myself included). Going back and remembering all those painful embarrassing moments is a great strategy that is partially responsible for my 2 years sobriety from alcohol. If you’re like me, you’ll remember all the good memories and only a few bad. But then once you take an honest look, there’s not much positive and so much you realize can’t continue...

Including the craving for cigarettes at first was the strongest.

Dr Frank, I do have a question, I am going “sober” because weed wasn’t helping me anymore. It was genuinely affecting my day to day functioning as well as cognitive functioning, but I don’t want to stop forever? The idea of stopping forever is still something I can’t accept as I enter a life of sobriety. Have you spoke on this topic before? Can you go “sober” after suffering from weed addiction, with the intention to one day hopefully be able smoke again (just in moderation) or is this not what sobriety is about. Thank you!

I’m no doctor nor am I probably the best advisor you could possibly have. But, I feel as though these feelings and thoughts, are still bounded on the foundation of addiction. Take it day by day. Just as your mind told you to continuously smoke everyday, your mind will tell you not to forget about smoking weed, even if it’s in the future. I would also caution you to notice your triggers, in efforts to be as self aware as possible and reach ultimate sobriety. You will reach a day in the future where these thoughts no longer linger as strong, but you have to have the courage to continue to deny the mind virus. Weed is a short enjoyable moment; followed by wasted hours of fog that lingers for days.

Not to be too cheesy Dr. Frank but only an angel would be doing this type of work. Your helping fix humanity never forget that an never be too hard on yourself because you have us your audience or friend an we would forsure do the same for you. Your truly a great soul man congrats on your baby daughter btw. We just had our second boy 🎉 my for sure quitting date is set in a week an a half cuz I’ll be off work for 14 days so that should help me get the ball rolling with this. I will also be purchasing your gum product I saw that helps with stress an anxiety.
