How about don’t quit and just reduce the amount you’re doing it 🤷‍♂️. It’s pretty hard to quit something that you’re used to doing all day long. Weed is a medicine and it’s to be used responsibly there’s a reason in legal states u have to be 21 to buy it.

Just remember when you accept MJ, you accept mediocrity. The big problem is everything else in a person's life is lacking so a quick short circuit to feeling bad about that is consuming MJ! If you plan on quitting then also plan on building a life that MJ does not cater to.

I am 17 and tried weed two months ago. It doesn’t help that my mother has some at home. So I started using hers every night. And eventually I got a cart. That was the most addicting and worst form of weed. I am curious how long my withdrawals will last Because I have not been smoking for too long. I usually only smoked about a bowl each night…

Probably you won't have withdrawal but I smoked 20g per week for 10 years and quit 4 weeks ago. Withdrawal lasted for me 2-3 weeks. The worst wast week 1&2 after 3 it's nothing. All depends on your reasons for quitting and will power/discipline. Change your perspective about yourself from "I'm an addict" to "I don't like how weed affects me and it's not for me". Disassociate yourself from the weed it's not a part of you or your persona

I'm 27 started smoking when I was 17 also. Thought it made me chill and enjoyed the feeling. Over time it becomes a daily chore and you develop negative side effects. I.e anxiety, eating disorders, guilt ECT. Just quit you're not even that deep into the habit. Best of luck (:

As a former Heroin and Fentanyl addict who has gone through methadone recovery all the way ( 3 years off Fentanyl, 3 weeks off the methadone), I developed cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome right after i stopped Methadone at a 20mg dose. I've used cannabis since I was 13 and for the last 10 years I've smoked at least 3.5 to 7 grams a day. I will tell you, at least for me, the withdrawal has been almost 1:1 with fentanyl withdrawal minus only the hot/cold sweats. The only reason I'm getting through is because I know what to expect from withdrawal. I never thought in a million years that weed was affecting me so much but know I see clearly. You can do this too, dear humans. Just stay strong and seek help in those you trust. I'm only 6 days off weed and the first 4 days were HELL. However, everyday is a slight improvement and I've never felt more motivated!

I have recently stopped using marijuana after using heavily since 12 for the past 9 years of my life, I have just had the worst week of my life. I was hospitalised, violently throwing up blood for days on end, I wasn’t able to keep any fluids or food down. I am now on day 7, It is still super painful and I can’t eat meals but i can keep fluids down and eat 1 crisp at a time in moderation and an ice lolly. This has definitely shown me I never want to smoke weed again, I’m having roughly 6 hours worth of showers everyday to try and counteract the pain. Today is my first day of no vomit. Thankyou Dr Frank for your channel and your dedication to improve all of our lives. I mean that from the bottom of my heart

Hi Doc, can you make 1 long video talking about CHS, all 3 stages of CHS, and more. I've been watching your videos for a year, trying to figure out if I have this, but I cant say for sure I do. I had 3 episodes in the last 2 years where I get sick and nauseous and vomit for 12-24 hours. Hot showers are not my thing to solve anything. I couldn't tell if it is food poisoning but I am 100% certain the frozen food Applegate I was eating may have been poised from, as I ate it everyday and I also would abuse like 6 shots of espresso a day. I had times where I'd wake up nauseous. This whole 1 week, I have been feeling sick, migraine, burping a lot, but I ate that damn chicken all of last week up until Monday. It's now Friday, still have a light headache and just feel funny. But I smoke pot, and a lot of it. So I am doing 3 things at once, eating food thats been shown to give you vomiting, headaches, migraines, diarrhea, abusing espresso or enegery drinks like Red Bull and smoking a lot of pot. I will never eat those chickens again as there is direct evidence, but im worried maybe I am experiencing earl CHS but I genuinely can not tell. It's hard to stop when you dont know for sure it's the pot. Any help here or a lengthy video from you would help. Thanks in advance

I think part of this is because being blasted on ganja for so long has subdued our emotions and caused kind of a layer of static between ourselves and what's really going on. One of the first things I noticed after not partaking for about a month was that I found myself a lot more invested in the conversations I was having with people, or empathizing with them more on what they were saying, whereas when I was toking up every other day I would just kind of hear what they were saying but not react or have much to respond with beyond 'hmm' - I think it's not a bad thing though, to have a more emotional response to things (music, movies, etc..) I kinda felt like a baby tearing up about a song I was listening to recently, but it's also refreshing to have a response when I was kind of doubting that I would 'enjoy or immerse' into things as much without being stoned.. Anyway just my two cents sorry if it was a bit rambly.

I actually find the first 1.5 weeks rather easy. Yes I have the cravings but riding the motivation to quit always gets me roughly that far. Where I go wrong is I start to enjoy feeling normal but I also get scared because I’m leaving behind something that was apart of my life for so long it’s like my mind is scared to evolve because I’ve taught myself tools (vape/weed) to cope that the thought of permanently living without those does seem overwhelming. If you have any tips for getting through the first month I’d love to hear them!

He talks about that a lot. Don’t look at quitting weed as “leaving behind something that was apart of my life”. View it as a new chapter, a new beginning. You are not quitting weed, you are quitting throwing away your money. You’re not quitting weed, you are quitting being lazy and wasting time when you could be doing something productive. You’re not quitting weed, you are quitting being a slave and taking your life back.

Reason for quitting anxiety and its just not doing anything for me anymore at age 50. But 2 days in I had to get prescribed Lorazepam to get through this. It's gonna make it a bit harder on you to quit as they stay in your system longer than weed by itself. I know because when I was dabbing every day it took me 2 months to get clean as a skinny active male. You'll get back to almost normal though you gotta remember you aged also in that time which is why I say almost normal. But you get it back don't worry and don't smoke
