If you say “marijuana is not addictive” you have never truly been a stoner! Whether you want to admit it or not, your weed addiction is serving a real purpose in your life. And you're not going to be able to quit, until you have the right mindset and find a way to fulfill the need that weed was meeting. It's must be replaced with a healthier alternative. I hope this helps someone! Thanks for the very helpful video Dr. Frank!❤👍

Today I am 43 days sober from marijuana. I am sadly still testing positive for it. I was a heavy user, dabbing concentrate, at least 1 gram a day. I am worried it will be 120 days until I am fully clean but I accept that it may be and that is ok! I have learned so much about myself going through this. I have now decided to reduce my caffeine intake as well by switching to half-caff. I just know that is the right thing to do for my health. These videos help me stay focused and not feel so alone on this journey. The comments help, I read everyone’s and I just want to say, I’m very proud of all of you on the same journey! I get it. I have gone through times of sobriety and non-sobriety. The times I’ve used is out of boredom, sadness, needing to escape reality, you name it, I had a valid excuse in my mind. If you have addiction issues or possible past trauma, it is so easy to lean into. Just keep trying and do the best you can and prioritize yourself and be kind to yourself as you would to a friend. You have it in you already to get sober. Do not give up on yourself! I am 38 and finally ready to really quit for good because as embarrassing as this is to admit, my 15 year old begged me to quit and I just couldn’t do it anymore seeing the look in his eyes when I would toke up. He was ashamed of his mom that couldn’t put down drugs and prioritize his happiness over my own.

I have come a long way in the past year, thanks to you. I used to smoke every day in addiction and now I can go long periods of time without it. I have smoked a few times to be honest, but I know how to quit now and realize it’s much easier then most people think. First few days without it is brutal from withdrawal. But I seem to be able to reset my body going a week without it. My goal this year is to continue to further understand the negative effects it has on my life. Also realizing that what I thought marijuana was helping me with was actually just a constant cycle of withdrawal. I feel so much better not being controlled by a substance. I still want it sometimes and I can’t promise I’ll never do it again, but it’s getting easier!

Even an expert can still learn and see new perspectives from your content. Also what you said in one of your last videos, that people struggle either because there is not much going on (after high school) in their life versus people where everything is going perfect in life and they are looking for something else. The fact that I disposed of almost an entire quarter makes me feel great about myself. I'm resuming my path to sobriety and not looking back.
