We danced to Santana's "Evil Ways". Try it at home! Here's the song: open.spotify.c...
Cha-cha is a great dance to practice coordination and balance! Why? It has:
--Multiple directions (forward, backward, both sides)
--Turns (eventually!)
--Strengthening of our ankles and feet and calves. This comes from dancing more on the balls of the feet, rolling through the foot, and changing directions.
--Hip and thigh strengthening, because we dance lower (bent knees, and with the footwork) which not only gets the cuban hip motion (for the flavor and style), but also for endurance!
--It's fun, too!
Try one or more of these basics at home!
