I always only push my cuticles back too! ✨ Cutting them can cause a lot of issues with possible infection or even altering nail growth.

100%!! So smart. Once you get into the habit of pushing them back you rarely, if ever, need to cut them again!

While I was doing nail prep for a manicure one night, I decided out of the blue to file my long nails to fingertip length, because I had seen some pictures of girls rocking really cute manis with short nails. Did it, and instantly thought, “yeah the short nail life isn’t for me”🤣 Glad I saw this video so I can track along my progress with someone.

Happy New year!!! Starting off the nail growth journey with you! My nails are also short right now due to cleaning and packaging up everything after Christmas! Started a fresh new mani yesterday and took pics, trying to snap a pic of every mani as well!! Can’t wait!!

Enjoy your nail journey. I always had strong and long nails. But I did gel, dip powder and acrylic which ruined my nails. Once I stopped I just left my nails short for 3 years. I just abandoned my nails. Last year I decide to finally let my nails grow out and curious to see if it can still than also. And I am so happy my nails still can. In December I decide to cut them off because one nail broke pretty bad and I didn't feel like waiting for it to catch up with my others. Plus some of my nails were peeling and scratching me because they were so long. So I thought new year , new growth . It's now January and I already see growth, every 4 weeks I see a change, but I’m not there yet at the length I miss. Tips! - It is good to start your journey with round or almond shape. Sometimes with square nails , the edges are more exposed so it's easier for your nails to break off 2- I just bought a glass nail file. I read it’s better than regular files . Regular files will leave my nails brittle or pealing. It’s annoying,’ so I’m curious about this glass file. 3- when your nail isn’t polished. Invest in a nail moisturizer and or strengthen top coat. I bought the OPI nail envy and the reviews are very good, I can’t wait to add it to my routine 4- invest in a cuticle oil . Try to do it at least 2x a day . Morning and night. 5- if you decide to do or continue to do gel, dip powder, acrylic etc prepare for it to go south. You might have good days and bad. Depends on whose doing it and how your nails handled it.

Always love your tips!! I also went and bought the mail strengthener you suggested a couple of months ago, and I have also had great results from it!! Love how inexpensive it is too!! I also have that polish and I will say it is! It’s the perfect mix of dusty and bright and it plays almost like nudey pink but it’s a bit more unique than that because it’s actually a lilac! Also applies well. One of their best colors imo, I didn’t think I needed it but then I saw a swatcher and was like “what is she WEARING” and then when she got to Cockatoo she said it was that one! Decided I needed it and definitely stand by that decision.

Hey Gisele! Happy New Year! :) Love that we're growing our nails together. You're going to love the Nail Aid, it helps so much. When I grow my nails out, I notice the biggest transformation after 3 weeks. In my experience, I've found that in 4-5 weeks they'll go from tiny nubs to beautiful, long almonds! Keep me posted on your progress!

Thank you so much! Me too - such a great shade! And the last product was my cuticle oil :) I spent 2 years developing it and just launched it in June 2022! I’m joining in on #OperationNailGrowthJourney! My middle fingers broke down pretty far, so I’m not taking the rest down yet, but in a week or 2, I will. I’m using the Nail-Aid Keratin 3 Day Growth, instead of the Biotin.

Hi Amanda! I ended up accidentally filing my pinky down really far, so I took all of my nails down a bit…Now I have a bunch of extra skin (Hyponichium) that is sticking out further than my nails. Do you have any tips for that?

Almond is actually not the strongest shape and square nails are not prone to breaking.

Just my personal experience! Round or almond nails always have a longer life for me! My squares never hold up :(
