SJ is a life saver! I appreciate you for taking the time, while going thru the pain, to make these videos. You helped so many people (as i read in the comments), and myself. I am in my 12 month recovery and i feel fine, just some stiffness, due to me going back to normal life around month 4, and i stopped stretching as much. thanks you so much, and for the newbies that just tore, FOLLOW HIS INSTRUCTIONS, Stay a couple weeks ahead (still follow week by week) of SJ videos, and YOU WILL BE FINE!

SJ, firstly, congratulations on hitting the 12 month mark in your recovery, looking awesome. Secondly, really appreciate your videos, been watching them since the day I ruptured my Achilles. Going into start of week 5, in a boot since week two, fully weight bearing almost a week, removed one of three wedges a couple days ago, a few weird pains here & there but that’s to be expected based on your videos. Have you any advice around your challenges with tendinitis in terms of doing anything different other then doing too much on it? Pulling back on certain exercises? etc.. Again, thanks for all your efforts in making your videos, they’ve certainly been a massive help.

How did you know you had tendonitis? My physio couldnt tell me 😟

My physio is not as informative at yours unfortunately, i am on my fourth PT

Firstly the physio diagnosed it Secondly when i googled it, the description of achilles tendonitis (insertional) is exactly the same description to what i was feeling. tendonitis normally just comes from nowhere. Its a repetitive use injury so one day you just feel it (ie its a gradual onset as opposed to a sudden onset).

I definitely think I have it, I have probably overloaded it. I managed to tear my soleus muscle slightly from trying to do a single calf raises, I thought at 6.5 months I had cracked it, but must have pushed it too much. Thanks for your advice with the excersises. My new PT thinks you are really informative and is really happy that Ive found you ☺️

I'm at week 14. I think I over did it with walking the other day and my calf is pretty achy today. It's not sharp or really painful, but is that an indicator of something bad? I figured I'd rest with my exercises for a couple of days until it stops.
