Thank SJ for all the journey posted on YT with the Achilles Tendon Rupture Non-Surgical protocol. I follow your journey and my Achilles tendon it's now starting working normally, I'm 28 years old and I broke mine 20 weeks ago playing football. In Romania, it's not very popular the non-surgical way, I've pass to my doctor your videos, he was impress with my progress and on how the tendon it's so strong after following the same process as you. You saved me from surgical! I passed your channel to all the people that have the same problem, it was the best way for me. Thanks again!! Good bless you!

SJ is a life saver! I appreciate you for taking the time, while going thru the pain, to make these videos. You helped so many people (as i read in the comments), and myself. I am in my 12 month recovery and i feel fine, just some stiffness, due to me going back to normal life around month 4, and i stopped stretching as much. thanks you so much, and for the newbies that just tore, FOLLOW HIS INSTRUCTIONS, Stay a couple weeks ahead (still follow week by week) of SJ videos, and YOU WILL BE FINE!

Hey SJ! I have been watching your series so much for this subject since i had my tear for 23 weeks ago. It has been such a big help for me! Did the non surgical route and it seems like I have no extension what so ever 🙂Currently I can do 25 single calf raises with a series of 4 with 15 seconds between each set... but that is superhard for me. Just wanted to add my experience. Also been cleared for running 5 mins times two with 5 minutes rest. About 700 meters/run. So happy to see your progress!

You have given me so much inspiration. I mashed up both the medial and lateral ankle and Achilles. I am on week 16 and just learning to walk with one crutch. I tried without crutches and was so happy I could hobble for a few minutes. Good days and days of a lot of pain. It’s a process.

@SJ did you have some kind of swelling in the area where you felt the pain?

Thank you for the videos ! I’m currently at the same mark you were in this video but not yet comfortable with single raises. Please lmk if you have any recovery plan you can send via email or any other way. Thanks!

That would be the CFL -> Canadian Football League and his team was the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Congrats on your progress! I’m at week 12...

Hey SJ, I’m 13 weeks post rupture no surgical. I have quite a bit of tenderness at the tear location where it’s scarred up and some heal pain. When did you notice the Achilles tenderness subside?

Hey SJ in what week were you able to stand in both feet for a long time? I want to go back to work thats why I’m asking

Probably from the week 10-11 mark. If you are going to be on your feet, i would recommend putting a heel lift into your shoe as it will take pressure off the tendon.

Hi, SJ, how wide was the gap on your rupture? Was it complete rupture? I had a complete rupture of my right Achilles tendon on Sept. 23,2017 (few months before your injury), and the gap was about 1.3 inches, a little bit less than 4 cm. Now, it's little over 10 months, but I am barely doing a single heel raises, and cannot even jog yet. Had been following a non-surgical txt of ATR (watched, Evan Brown, Agnes's videos) but it's really slow progress. I am quite worried that I am not recovering as quickly as many of you.

Hi Johnny, i definitely had a complete rupture because I failed the Thompson test and you could see a gap. I dont know the size of the gap though because in Australia they dont do a MRI or ultrasound if they can clinically show that it has ruptured. IN terms of your single heel raises, i would try doing them (no matter how low they rise up by) and do 4 sets of 8 reps per day and see if the calf gets stronger. When I started doing that, the calf started becoming much stronger than when I was just doing double heel raises. ALso try eccentric calf raises when you go up on two and come down on one. Good luck!
