Hey I went through some detoxing from lexapro after taking it for 2 years. I quit 5 mg cold turkey. What helped me was weight lifting, cold showers then eventually ice baths, and prayer. I did and still do these daily and it helped me tremendously. Not saying this is the cure or anything I’m not a doctor but this is what worked for me. Sorry you’re going through this, it ain’t easy!

There’s some videos from Andrew Huberman that can explain the science behind it but from my experience it’s basically a really big (somewhat painful) rush for about 1 min and then you experience calm while inside of the icy water once you get your breathing under control. Once your out you get a lot of positive feelings and just the fact of knowing you did something really difficult and came out the other side victorious over and over again is a good boost to your confidence. I like to do it in the morning before I leave for work which also is a win because I’ve already accomplished one of the hardest things I planned on doing that day before the day even starts

I would start off with cold showers though first and kind of ease into it. When I first started I would take a hot shower and just slowly start to move the dial colder and colder until it was max cold and then stay in it for about 2-3 minutes. I wouldn’t just jump head first into 35 degree water. It makes sense to me that it could be unsafe for some people to do it that way.
