Hey! I have a couple of questions cause I'm applying to Western C for grad school. How do you like the town the college is in? Are there a lot of things to do? I am just wondering what social life is like. the school itself seems great but i was just wondering about the town its in and etc!

Hey Tino! Wow grad school! That is so exciting! I love WCU! Before coming here, I used to be worried about there not being anything to do, but there's always something fun! Dowtown Sylva has some cool nick nack shops, consignment shops, outdoor stores, a couple of cool bars and some restaurants with absolutely delicious food. There are festivals, outdoor concerts, a little farmer's market, and some cool murals to enhance the already picturesque aesthetic of the town (great to take pictures by!). There are also a few fantastic ice cream places and a cute little movie theater. And almost every weekend I find myself hiking, camping, driving around on Blue Ridge Parkway, or even driving over to Asheville or Waynesville to spend the day. I could go on, but then it would be a rather long reply (longer than it already is haha). I hope this helped you feel excited about potentially coming here!
