I was on accutane back in high school, but had severe, cystic acne. Dried my face out siiiignificantly - used to wear Vaseline lol. But it worked amazing - cleared acne on my face, chest & back. Definitely don’t go on it unless your acne is severe, it’s not good for you at all! Still have some adult acne (also 29) but def food & sleep related every time.

I was on accutane for a year when I was 20 years old. I was on a lower dose so I didn’t have any of the severe dry skin. It was just chapped lips a my skin was a little dry. After being off it for 2 years now my skin is soooo much better.

I will be starting a unit on the Aztec and Mayas. Could you share where you got your resources from. I love your projects. What kind of markers did you use?

I would suggest going to a dermatologist to ask them what your options are especially if you’re wary about using accutane. Love your videos and the girls are getting so big! ❤

I would NOT recommend Accutane....a friend tried it and it literally changed her personality for the worst. She was irritable and always in a bad mood. She thankfully went off of it and finally is back to her sweet self again. I know everyone is different...but really do your research on the effects it may have on your mental health.

Curious about ckla (I know I’ve asked you q’s about it before;)… how many units do you get through in a year? Also, is it super heavy informational texts for you? Finishing up a pilot on the curriculum so I’m curious. Thank you for sharing. Your girls are adorable:)

When it comes to kids who are bickering, give them two minutes to discuss what is happening, especially when it comes to bickering after recess or lunch. If kids are bickering about the way that you are handling things or regarding your teaching, speak with each student one at a time quietly. There are some kids out there who want to attract negative attention and want an audience. Try to use magnetic numbers and use a black magnet in the shape of a circle to represent the decimal point. That will also help with decimals and powers of ten. Hang in there. It is always busy in October and November, so do your best to get through the next couple of weeks. Thank you for your video presentation. Take care.

How long did it take for you to be confident as a teacher? what year?
@KathyKellogg2 ай бұрын
I think you get confident every year as you teach! You try new things, get a new group etc so it def tests your confidence but in the end that means you are better than you were and you learn as you go :)
