Editing out the white of the paper around the characters must be really tedious, the guy who made the Puparia short animation had to do the same thing but even more since it was animated, but the analog materials has a tactile quality to it that digital art can’t always replicate (no shade to digital it can do cool things on its own).

Oooohhh yes it is very fiddly! It's not too bad editing around collage as its a lot of straight edges, but the girls hair was a nightmare!
