You deserve more subs man. The cinematography is just incredible and you truly capture the vibes of PNW so well. Keep it up.

Nice video. The Lochside Trail is a treasure for sure, as is Saltspring (and all the Gulf Islands for that matter). You sure have a sensitive microphone- really picks up the sound of tires on gravel and food packages being torn open!

totally agree, Doug. Wish we had something more similar to it in the Vancouver area. And glad you liked some of the sounds! Definitely picks up the wind as well but I try to work around that.

Looks like you had a nice trip on Vancouver Island and obviously the group camp out to Salt Spring was so much fun. This video was very peaceful and obviously had some great sound production behind the scenes. Thanks for you sharing, I'll catch you at another VIBC event soon Jordan :)

Another stellar video Jordan, thanks very much. I keep putting off a trip using the weather as an excuse meanwhile you are out there having multiple trips this year! I think I'll try to make it over to the island soon for an overnighter. On another note I find your videos extremely relaxing, gives me the same sort of mental state as when I myself am riding. It makes for a pretty nice stress release during the work day. Thanks!

thanks so much again! Yeah I feel like I got sorta lucky these past trips in terms of the weather? Mayne was sunny, this trip was maybe 70% not rainy. Though I definitely film less when it's rainy so it makes the trips seem slightly drier. Glad you continue to like the relaxing vibes!

There's nothing like a helping of oats in the morning. At home, I actually like them cold but with hot maple syrup poured over them in offensively large amounts. :)

oooh cold oats? interesting... the hot syrup sounds like the key there.

Nice video. Was that Salty Beard I saw?
@JordanVegBike2 жыл бұрын
yup Rob (Salty Beard) and Kelton (Sir Bikes Alot) were the organizers of the Salt Spring bikepacking meetup. There's one later this month, I'll put a link in the description!

@@JordanVegBike nice one! I discovered their channels before yours. I wish we has similar events like that here in Australia.

Loved the edits and your work with sound. Are you using a remote mic? Were the sounds added later? You must have had to backtrack lots to pick up the camera on all those self shots. Well done

Thanks Dan! The sound is all my shotgun microphone on my tripod. I will very occasionally add sounds but not super often. (recently someone called my out on crickets that I added during a night scene, saying the ecology doesn't support crickets where I was at. Busted! 😂)
