Another fantastic episode of my favourite show on the tube. I think this 60hz hack (rare PAL optimised game this so runs glitchy in 60hz) is based off the unreleased US version so the dialogue is slightly different translation to the standard EU one we got.

This was one of those legendary games seen in magazines or on the web, with never a real chance to play. I tried it for the first time last year, and as the video shows, the sheer length of each level is quite surprising.

I miss those fridays going to the video game rental store right after school, picking up 3 SNES games and rushing back home to play them. Awesome stickers, man!

@@mopspear Oh, I meant "renting" 3 SNES games so I could spend the weekend and return them on monday. My SNES library back them was limited to only 6 games (up until I bought a PS1): Super Mario World, TMNT Tournament Fight, Top Gear 2, Street Fighter 2, Mega Man X and Mega Man X2.

You left out the "Red" in "The Hunt for Red October". When you were talking about Backdraft, I was picturing the NFL linebacker Howie Long. But then I remembered his firefighter movie had fire in the title (Firestorm). So I looked up Scott Glenn since you were talking about him, and it turns out he was also in Firestorm. I only remembered Scott Glenn from Sucker Punch. But after looking up his filmography, I remembered him from things like Training Day, Vertical Limit, the Daredevil Netflix series, and the Bourne movies. He does not look like a Scott Glenn to me.

Wow, these selections every week have just been hitting! I picked up a Japanese copy of The Firemen about 2 months ago; what a unique experience! Upon reflection, I realised recently that I really enjoy Human's catalogue by and large, and so, I want to get S.O.S as it looks really interesting. If you get a chance to get the English translation patch for MIzzurna Falls on PS1 and give it a play, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised...gave me Twin Peaks vibes and oozes atmosphere. What an awesome series 'Weekend Rental' has turned out to be :)

Septentrion reminded me a lot of disaster movie Poseidon Adventure, if nothing just the setting. Loved disaster movies as a kid - and now I guess :)
