Picking mine up Tomorrow, Brand new 2023 239 FS, t top with yamaha 300hp, trailer, bait tank option, factory 4 speaker stereo (coming out next week, a new wet sounds system going in)twin GPS, Twin 10 foot Power poles, Trolling Motor, VHF, porta potty, front seat filler cushions loaded... Just a few years ago this was a 60k boat. I remember going to boat shows and seeing sea hunt gamefish 25’s with electronics and trailer for 85 out the door. Boat prices are insane and why I’m buying used trucks and used boats.

We've had our 239 for a little over a year now and love it, just a few weeks ago we went about 20 miles offshore and caught a couple nice 15 to 20 lb grouper, very sturdy and capable boat for that 20 to 30 mile range.

I have a 2008 Key West 186CC which has been an awesome battle star which I have had in some heavy Chesapeake Bay weather / water and I love it! Friends from my fishing club can't believe how well the boat handles in rough water! I am planning on my next model (219FS or 239FS) because I think Key West are some of the toughest boats for the money so these videos are very helpful! I actually bought the pervious version of this boat when we moved to Florida last year, its been a great boat. Being from the Midwest, I do miss the massive deckspace of our Sun Tracker Pontoon Boat, but this is fast and fun and cna go on on the ocean. Plus we got great money for our Pontoon, and used it as a Down Payment on a Key West, great video and great boats

This year I was looking at the Key West, Sportsman, Tidewater, and Seahunt. In my opinion the Key West is the best if you're doing a lot of cruising in the intercoastal or going to sandbars. I say this bc of the amount of room you have in the back of the boat and it has a favorable layout. I don't recommend buying this boat if you are wanting to play in the open ocean and fishing as the gunnels are very low, and it's a wet ride. Open Ocean / Fishing / Bahamas = Tidewater Sandbar & Cruising = Keywest Sportsman and Seahunt are both in the middle of the 2. They don't do anything great, but they do both.

Check out the Twin Vee 240 Dual Console. About $115k with the 2 big engines. It is a catamaran and is super stable and hard to beat for the 💰 2 engines are better than 1 on the ocean. 💯

How about the Yamaha 250 vs 300 for the 239? My understanding is you don’t get much more out of the 300…but my understanding is seriously lacking. 😅. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks,

Hi Jim, You won’t notice much difference from the 250 and 300. However most people with the 250 get the mechanical shifting version so it’s a huge difference when shifting from forward and reverse. The 300 is optioned with digital shifting.

As far as I'm aware Key West boats are in very high demand. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure the wait list for a custom boat is somewhere around 9 months. Even late 90s and early 2000s models are selling for absurd amounts. On top of that Yamaha is way behind on producing engines. Someone we know bought a brand new Tidewater and he got his boat 2 months before his engine. Id imagine that ramps up cost too. In my opinion It's worth the high price tag though. These boats are grade a. We own a 99' 196 Bay Reef and it is the smoothest riding boat I have ever been in.

Sir, if powder coat is applied right, it is real strong and will last much longer than any regular paint job. I build Race cares and we Powder Coat all the Rollbars.

@@keithscudder7136 I think it has to do with Saltwater getting in the bottom or screws holes. Your racecar is not coved with Saltwater spray.
