Todd absolutely worships all of the worst and most toxic traits and practices in collecting. I don't care about arbitrary, manufactured rarity. All I care about is a quality product. McFarlane more often than not gives the former, but not the latter. It's so, so sad how far the company that made adult collectibles mainstream has fallen. I don't want to hate Todd or his company, but he makes it so hard to feel any other emotion about it.

Fax, idk why everyone gives him a slide, like he is super important to comic history and he’s an awesome artist but when it come to his toy lines, particularly dc, he is clueless. The figures suck and them being the only affordable dc figures run is so annoying especially because the quality of the figures suck and they are in a 7 inch scale for some reason. Couple that with the ridiculous number of repaints and the stupid amount of Batman’s this line sucks

@@lilreaps1757 Oh, he's not clueless. He knows exactly what he's doing. Todd does not care about giving a quality product, unless it makes him more money. Everything he does is to maximize his profits. Honestly, when you hear Todd talk about any of the characters or comics he's created, he almost never talks about any of the creative inspiration or meaning that went into them. He talks about how successful they are. How they were designed to be as cool, appealing, and profitable as possible. Todd has always been a businessman first and an artist second. If anything he's just a businessman who can draw well, so he doesn't have to underpay and overwork someone else to do it for him. Todd doesn't respect his fans or customers. He doesn't even like them. Say what you will about NECA, but it's clear that they put a genuine effort into making all of their releases special, and that they care about their fans and customers. They're trying to make money, yeah. We all are. But the sly, manipulative, cheap, and predatory shit that Todd does is not something you do for a fanbase that you like or care about. It's what you do to people who you only see as a resource and nothing more. Funny that Randy Falk, NECA's VP and project manager, worked for McFarlane during their golden years with the Movie Maniacs and Spawn lines.

He’s all about the money and knows Batman sells! He’s not obviously doing something right because he’s rolling in it. It’s a shame though. Would be great to see someone do 6” highly articulated and well designed/sculpted DC figs at the sub $30 price point. Maybe someone like Jada Toys will get lucky and deliver us from Todd!

My wife can attest to this. I was in the ER for a kidney stone one time and after hitting me with some heavy duty painkillers I was feeling just fine. Half out of it I remember thinking "Jubilee is yellow and blue" which I guess I said out loud because the nurse asked what I was talking about and my wife said "X-Men action figures." like it was just another day. Because it was just another day of pondering pretty plastic, no matter how I'm feeling or where I'm at.

Who remembers that old box art typo back in the day where Commando Snake Eyes was titled "Stalker" on accident. (Or was it an accident???) Maybe Snake Eyes was out of commission for a minute and they needed someone with a similar build and athleticism to took up the position as Snake Eyes for a moment, leaving that position to be filled by someone who understands multiple languages and is also a weapons expert...😮 😂 I love this line and the lore, I may not be able to get every variant but I think I got some of my favorite ones to remind me of my childhood. Keen to get another Wally West Flash figure! Not a fan of the attempt at shading, but at least it's pretty minimal on Wally. I like how the McFarlane Flash figure is obviously Wally West... and they picked the one of the most Barry Allen looking costumes for the card art. Only way it could've been more obviously Barry is if it was the modern suit with the Tron lines. I very rarely buy DC Multiverse figures anymore but some of these reveals have me really, really tempted. I love my classic and Flash characters, so... I might have to dip back in.

I pre ordered jubilee despite having some grips about it because I'm already to deep in the line & want to at least finish the gold & blue teams before I decide to stop. When I saw solicits for jubilee my complaints were her effects should've been multi coloured & maybe molded into the hands or finger tips like jeans & psylocke's effects were. She should've came with interchangeable gloves for people who prefer the blue gloves over the yellow, she should've had a smiling or cocky smirk face. And the knees don't look good at all. I figured that Ben was gonna be the next figuarts to get a 1.5 treatment probably a long with anh luke & leia. I really hope since figuarts is pumping out these 1.5 star wars releases recently that they give count dooku a 1.5 because that guy really needs it because I think he is the worst figuarts that I have in the star wars line so far. His cloak is pretty bad even for 2019 standards, his outfit colors are wrong & my copy's Sith lighting hands had paint bleeding ever since I took him out the box. I also wish tamashii would final get the ball rolling on some empire strikes back figures.
