I had the same issue with my Mac. I fixed it by turning off the sleep function. After you do this it will just go to the screen saver.

The keyboard problem is probably macOS disconnecting/disabling bluetooth when it goes to sleep. Maybe a power setting to prevent it disconnecting on sleep, or disable sleep all together while plugged in to power (but that's not ideal ig)

I'll try that! That may work, but a little peculiar because I've never had this problem with the Apple Magic Keyboard which I also use via bluetooth.

As a mechanical keyboard enthusiast, that is exactly my problem too. That is why I have mine connected using a coiled USB-C cable (though I do have the password disabled anyway since I work from home)

congrats on becoming cat parents. I’ve had cats for any years and one thing to keep in mind is that some plants are toxic to cats. If I remember correctly, the snake plant was one of the common ones. ❤ Enjoy!
