I’m so glad you got to spend that time with her in February. Condolences to you and your family. Going through your videos with her, thankfully you have a lasting memory to recall whenever you miss her. My grandma was everything to me - another mother figure, best friend, and mentor. When she passed, I stopped seeing color in the world for a long time. It’s been years, but I still feel bereft each time I see someone who resembles her. Living in Seoul, that happens more often than you think. People say that the pain of losing someone fades with time, but I don’t think of it that way. Speaking from first hand experience after losing both my father and grandmother, I think grief slowly evolves over the years and becomes snippets of happy memories that uplifts your soul whenever you need them.

Recommendations for LA: Things to do: -the BROAD museum, especially the mirrored infitinity room - Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills (gorgeous gardens that are free!m1 day a month the mansion itself it open, but the gardens alone are amazing!) -Rosebowl flea market -Studio tours (especially warner bros or paramount, touristy things can be fun too!) Coffee shops: -Maru coffee -Dayglow (they have a studio ghilbi themed menu) Food: -Destroyer LA (the food looks aesthetic, but I've never gone. I cant remember if you have gone here?) Enjoy the time you have left in LA! Great vlog!

I've moved to new cities where I didn't know anyone several times. It's daunting but exciting. My advice is to volunteer maybe one day a week with the poor or with kids or take a weekly class doing something you're interested in trying. With volunteer work, you meet many kind and genuine people. And by taking a class you'll meet like-minded people. Finding a good church in your new city and getting involved there is the most beneficial. 😊 Blessings!

Hi Kieun, your vlogs are so lovely. I am so sorry for your loss. Grandparents are very special people in our lives. In terms of ideas of things to do, LA has many farmers markets throughout the year, they are always fun and delicious. Visiting Food Truck areas is also something interesting. Another thing to consider is a day at a vineyard, it always feels like small vacation to Europe. Take a weekend and stay in San Francisco, i'm sure there will be plenty of cafes and pretty spots to see and show. Stay healthy and safe ☺

I’m so sorry for your grandma’s passing. It was nice that you spent time with her when you lived in Korea. I really enjoy your blogs but for some reason, it feels like you aren’t 100% happy except when you were in Korea. Your whole demeanor changed when you were on Korea for a visit and it’s definitely due to having your friends there. Hope your next journey will be as fulfilling and fun!

I feel like you would do very well in NYC, and it's easier to make friends when you can quite literally run into people (but it's still large enough where that wouldn't happen too often). Europe is great (I'm in the UK now), but yes, it took some time to make friends and you reallyyyy have to put yourself out there. It's difficult but not impossible! And I think also (I believe this is still the case) I've found that people were looking for friends post-pandemic. I joined facebook groups, classes, met friends through social media too. Best of luck on your next adventure

I would highly suggest going to The Exchange for dinner and go to a concert :) it's in DTLA, the head chef is an asian american woman focusing on middle eastern / viet / asian fusion cuisine. Talk to her, and shoutout to Rafael he's an awesome dude who works there. We had a great time staying at the hotel. Also would recommend some art museums, though if you come to NY I have way more suggestions ~

Kieun, it is nice to see you back in LA. I wondered if there was a setting in a garden full of flowers blooming, hummingbirds flying, maybe somewhere you could wear the comfortably looking clothes of KOTN. Hah Hah. They did look snuggily though, happy. I liked the close up cooking. Another smile. Take Care and Be Well. New York will keep you entertained with sponsors and events as an influencer and I believe wherever you go you will meet new people who will cherish your friendship.

I had to stop the video to give you some recommendations of what to do here. You can go check out the wildflowers. Because of all the rain we got, we are having a superbloom this year. Also, because of all the snow we got in the mountains, you can go skiing in Big Bear. Just two things off the top of my head. I’m sorry about the loss of your grandmother. It is good that you had that time with her before she passed away. Prayers 💐🙏🏽😢

I’m so sorry to hear about your grandma. I’ll keep you and your family in my prayers🤍 I feel like it’s hard to think of things to do in LA. Southern California has a lot of activities that you can take advantage of though! I recommend trying surfing, going camping or to yellowstone, roller skating at the beach, going to amusement parks, whale watching (Long Beach?), going to a symphony at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, or seeing the flowers at Carlsbad/Antelope Valley. If you ever want to explore OC again (it’s boring but pleasant), I’m down here and can give more localized recommendations :)

I'm happy you had the opportunity to spend time with your grandmother in February❣Keeping you in my thoughts, Kieun💕 As the weather warms in LA, definitely check out the beautiful beaches! Malibu is worth the drive. I recommend Paradise Cove (restaurant & beach access) and of course the Malibu Pier and Surfrider Beach. Also, if you haven't been to the Getty Center & Getty Villa I HIGHLY recommend both. The views from either museum are amazing but the art and architecture always leave me in awe. Other art museums to check out- LACMA, The Broad, Hammer Museum.
