Lovely tutorial! Though, you should listen to the original. For example, the bass line plays an E rather than an Eb on the F. (I know, it makes no sense for the bass to play major 7 when the chord is clearly dominant 7 -- but that's what Herbie does and I heard him talking about the watermelon man's rambly walk. Part of the charm.) I picked up some sweet voicings you use that weren't in my toolkit, like adding the 9 to a 13 chord for the passing chords, great! And I envy your lead chops.
