Weezer are the funniest band to emerge in the 90s because they’re the only ones who thought of writing a semi-sincere love ballad to their actual lawyer

I'll let your comment slide, just because, technically, the dead milkmen emerged in the 80s. (more humourous the Weezer IMHO) kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZXZiHWtltOcndk but yeah, Weezer can embody my sense of humor at times. Hashpipe is pretty funny, to me. & Beverly Hills, it makes me laugh the way Circle Jerks' "Beverly Hills (century city)" does, as well.

Man I’ll never forget growing up in middle school in the 90s hearing this song and me and my best friend both had it for a girl named Jamie. She moved and we would all 3 way talk on the phone and when me and him felt down we jammed this song out and sang it together. Even recorded a cover of it together and sent here a cd we burned with us playing it. Then randomly after months of phone calls she wasn’t allowed to 3 way on the phone and we were only allowed to write each other hand written letters in the mail. After months of that the letters stopped coming in and I was taught heart break at an early age. The 90s were truly a great time to grow up. This song brought back years of memories and nostalgic moments.

adrian turner yeah I don’t know what kind of pedal they use I was just saying in general that dirty sound is just overdriving the amp. I’ve always liked Weezers distinct sound. A lot of bands sound like every other bands but when you hear weezer you know it’s weezer. Such a great band, I’ve been into them since I was like 12 or so, so basically for the last 20+ years.

This song is so playful yet so painfully nostalgic, and I think part of the reason I feel that way about this song is because I know it was recorded with Jason Cropper. I guess see it as kind of a look to what Weezer could have sounded like.

They used the pre-photoshopped cover of the blue album for this Deluxe Edition. Rivers said that Matt was insecure of how his head looked so he told the art director to digitally replace with one from a different take and that edit is what they used for the initial release, this fact is on the wiki page for the Blue Album under the "Artwork" section. If you compare this cover to the one in the original release, you can tell that Matt Sharp's face looks a bit different.

Why are the best parts of every amazing song the shortest parts. "When I was down u came to me and promised to always be....by my side now your gone and .....etc" And I mean like not just the words but the tempo. The guitar. Ths rythm. I always thought I was off in the head maybe becuase.of this. And every song I love is usually only because of a small section of it. Another example and all the songs albums I list.below are ones I relate this feeling too The intro of "what's my age again" by blink 182 Narc by interpol ( you know exactly what part I'm talking about) The Unicorns "Innocate the vascular" I spelled that wrong but I dont remember Bob Dylan "it ain't me.babe" Smile a lil smile for me by the flying machine Rolling stones " she smiled sweetly" (first 10 seconds) Every Brand.new song from Dejavu Every brand new song off the first two albums correction. Saves the day Cant slow down whole album Explosions in the sky (Haha just kidding) Bloc party silent alarm Any Calvin Johnson song or Halo Benders The microphones Phil electrum Kimya dawson....damn I just forgot about Kimya dawson till this moment in time. It's been...like 8 years probably. Wow The moldy peaches...ok I gotta stop. Now im.just going in Order From K records
