I think this may have been a test to see who was watching carefully. It appeared that the 25th elastic position was mounted horizontally between the 5th and 6th rows, ( between last two rows at bottom. Seems like a nice product and provides ample room for shells in a compact platform. Great vid. R

The top row on the outside is intended to be the opposite way so you can reach those without opening the whole thing. The single shell holder under that row will hold the row up higher so you can reach them easily. That gives you 25.

@@kyle_noseworthy it does, its just difficult to get in (unless there's a manufacturing flaw that made that loop TOO small). FYI, long as this product has been around...NO ONE has ever worked out an efficient 'load' pattern BEFORE doing a review on KZbin. IF you number the rows, open and hanging down the leg, from 1 - 6, you can load the shells in rows 1 -4 down, row 5 UP and row 6 down. Then when you open the top flap you'll have SIXTEEN shells facing down and accessible (plus the ONE extra that's horizontal). This gives you rows 1, 5 and 6 easily accessed with JUST the top flap open (ALL 12 shells would now be primers facing UP) and row 2 when you've removed the shells in row 1 (the same level as row 5 is on). kzbin.info/www/bejne/qZPIio2wg9N2eNU Down meaning primer faces UP (you push the shell DOWN into the elastic) and UP meaning the primer faces the ground (you push the shell UP into the elastic). Then, if needed, the rest of the holder can be opened. Giving you access to rows 3 -4 (and there would be LESS weight in this postion as rows 5 and 6 would be empty). Not sure why NO ONE has figured this out in ALL these years. Least, for as many of the videos on this product that I've found, no one seems to have worked out a 'rig' load that is MORE efficient then 'open the whole thing up and hang 16 shells flapping in the wind' (and some OUT of arms reach). (IF you find this effective, PLS PLS PLS post a video of it...so ppl will FINALLY understand that this rig isn't as 'inefficient' as reviews keep making it sound)

These are great! I've had one for little over a year. It's on the outside of my day pack. I do a lot of bunny hunting. Besides my normal gear I like to carry a first aid kit for the beagles. By taking the ammo out of the bag an putting it on the outside. It makes the bag less cluttered. I love the ammo pouch!

there is a 25th slot if you look on top of the first quick draw tab, the 25th one goes horizontaly on top of the first 4 ones. you are very welcome....

I bought two of these about 2 years ago. Had them on my LBV, ok, but very heavy with the 6 mags of 556. I didn't want to take them out, but I could have. Then I found 7 rd shotgun cards that fit in the mag pouches. 42 rds in mag puches, 6 in shotgun, cruiser ready, and 13 on shotgun. 6 in the side-saddle and 7 on the butt-stock velcro strip. Kept the pouches for other uses or give-aways. I don't keep any rds in elastic until needed, to preserve retainment. (made up word!)

What if your in a situation where you have to really run and you have the contraption unfolded ? I'm very fast at 57, I run a sub 10 second in the 100 meter sprint. The ammo would be flying all over with the shell holder flopping all over.

Hard to beat a shotgun! I use a duck hunting type ammo belt, camo neoprene, as it's what Canadian Tire had at the time. I sometimes carry it bandolier style, and might buy a dedicated bandolier someday. I keep a mixed load of birdshot, 00 buck and slugs in it, depending on if I'm hunting or just cruising the bush. Birds, bunnies, bears, moose, wolf, it does it all, hunting and defense. I also have a slip on ammo holder on the stock that I usually reserve just for defensive loads like slugs. Can also add 12 gauge flares and bear bangers in either one for even more options. The belt stays loaded and gets locked in its own ammo box. Just grab it, the shotty and my pack, and I'm ready to hit the woods. However, this little piece of kit is very interesting. Might look into getting one. My old canvas pack is not set up for MOLLE, but it didn't stop me from attaching my axe mate holder to it! Take care. And safe shooting!

"properly mounted moly" & it's only ran through the back pack instead of woven back & fourth so it's solid. Try weaving it through both sides like its meant to. Also your gonna want to put that last row in upside down so you can push them out with your thumb & catch them without your fingers. Otherwise you'll have to hold down on the bottom while pulling the shell out. Plus it'll probably be easier when it's on the "quick access" section as well. Good luck not being tactical.

That's a nice shell pouch. I'm also not a "tactical" person. I'm generally not into the couch commando stuff but I do have a molle type daypack similar to yours and this would be a major attribute. It is insanely cheap. How much was shipping? I couldn't find that on the site without proceeding to the cart. And is that in American dollars? Great video by the way, see ya on the next one!

Yes, we wouldn’t want the pouch making noise when you go to reload the loud shotgun you just blasted away with until it was empty. Velcro is more secure that magnets.
