As a single woman, I'm always impressed by how CAPABLE you are and how much initiative you put towards general mundane life stuff. You never sit around waiting for someone stronger or more knowledgeable to show up and help you, or do it for you. You'd be surprised how many young people would not be able to figure out how to assemble their own workout equipment. You're my hero, Bea. Love from Missouri.

That's how I've lived my entire life as a woman. I was obese as a child (13) and had no support as I successfully started to lose weight at 15. I took wood shop for 3 years in school so I know my way around machinery (table saws, sanders, etc.), can work a drill, put things together, hell I even know how to hook up a light source using wires (I'd be a bit rusty since it's been a while since I learned) and built my own furniture when I took that class in high school. The most reliable person is yourself, it's always best to learn things yourself in case you can't rely on others (like myself 😅)

I'm like that too, I never call anyone for help because that gives me huge anxiety, but in a weird way it's helped me learn a lot of things and I rarely need help with anything anymore. I actually enjoy learning new skills and learning how certain things around the house work, and I feel so much pride and accomplishment for doing it all myself so it actually works out perfectly for me

PSA - We are on team Bea, regardless of what the content is. I love being a small part of your journey. You've honestly taught me more about self love (in an honest, real and raw way) than any book/person/life coach. How you react to your shortcomings and challenges is quite frankly inspiring and helps all of us who are attempting to do the same. So don't worry so much about being a graphic designer and having content that you consider less-than-adequate. I am here to virtually grab you by the shoulders and shake you - We're here for the real, whether it's pretty or ugly.

Re: ADHD meds, you know pretty quickly if they work or not. It's not one of those things that requires building up in your system, they act immediately. If you aren't noticing an effect in your executive function capabilities after a few days (because sometimes it can take a few days to notice even though it works immediately... but it should be noticeable) then you need to try a dose adjustment. Also sometimes it takes a while to find the right medication (and the right dose of the right medication), and for some of us the meds don't work enough to deal with the side effects. Concerta is like a slow release ritalin, and ritalin is the mildest of the ADHD meds because it increases the ability of your body to process existing neurotransmitters rather than stimulating their production. Slow release doesn't work for everybody, some people need the regular release meds. So hang in there!

^^^^ so true I was hoping I would see this comment here. I tried concerta and felt nothing, nada. Gotta keep getting those adjustments!

That isn’t the case for non-stimulant medication, just fyi. Non-stimulant medication like Strattera (which i’ve taken for ADHD) does require building up in your system.
@flibbertygibbette
@flibbertygibbette 3 жыл бұрын
@@caitlinocallaghan4349 Thanks for the clarification! You're right, Strattera is like Wellbutrin, both are antidepressants that are also used for ADHD. Both take a few weeks to build up in the system. And folks should also know that both can cause suicidal thoughts in folks with ADHD (especially younger people) so anybody taking them should be mindful of that, especially in the beginning (hopefully one's psychiatrist or doctor will mention this).

My hubby was diagnosed ADHD at age 38 and it changed his life. Finally things made sense to him and he understands why he does certain things. He has had to adjust the dose of his meds a couple times, which is normal, but overall he is much happier. The meds do no make it go away they make your symptoms much more manageable. He is less anxious, has fewer angry outbursts, is less depressed, better at staying on task and is more productive overall. Good luck!

YES! The calories in vs calories out is so hard for me! I burn a lot of calories at crossfit and don't eat enough so I've been really trying to eat more and SURPRISE! I broke my plateau and started losing again! Crazy

Grow some mint and basil plants. Use vinegar to clean. Lemon or citus scent will also repel the spiders. My sister is allergic to bug sprays a d we've always had pets. So Mom did a lot natural methods. Spiders - mint. Ants - cucumbers Bees - vinegar

I started Concerta last week! (I'm 29f). I've been dreaming a lot more too and it was so strange at first. So far I don't know if I'm actually feeling anything or if it's just a placedo but I definitely find it easier to get things done in the day. Like, I can focus on something for more than 10 minutes, which is a new experience.

@@ayayan2875 It does! For me though, the main this is that I'm getting easily nauseous when I eat - I'll have two slices of toast and feel like I really over ate. It's pretty frustrating actually because I think the lack of calories is making me a lot more tired. I'm only about 2 weeks in now so I'm hoping I can get that under wraps, eating smaller meals more frequently seems to help

I came here to laugh and you did not disappoint! Really related to filming half a transition and never filming the other half. I have so many videos where the idea was there, but the execution was not. Love seeing you thrive woman! The ink art was mesmerizing. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

I’m in Australia. Please don’t kill the huntsmans. They’re big but they’re harmless. My husband is also a wuss when it comes to spiders and I’m the one who catches and releases them. Redbacks and white tails and funnel webs etc are another matter and have no business being in or around the house.
@joannainperth
@joannainperth 3 жыл бұрын
I would love to not kill them all. I spare the daddy long legs because I’m SURE they’re ok. I’m not as sure about my ability to identify a huntsman vs some other deadly spider. They need a deadly spider course for all immigrants.

If you're on your meds during this filming .. you seem to be doing fantastic on them. Happy for you. The weightloss amount is good because its in relation to your initial weight for the week. The percentage compared to your weight. Ask your doctor and you will see. Later on when your BMI is lower, of course the amount you lose a week should be lower.

That kind of looks like a hobo spider 🕷 no pun intended since he’s squatting in your house 😂 but they are sorta “aggressive” as far as spiders go lol my least favorite to find in the house next to the poisonous one. I appreciate that you also catch and release though. I also had an infestation once so I became obsessed with finding out all info about all spider species 🤓 (thanks hyper fixation).
