I have two sets of the Clearcoat 45 lbs. They are great. I plan on getting two more sets.

Great review of those weights. I have seen ads for them but no one has done an in-depth review! With I would have seen this video a week ago for your customs multi hole cable attachment. I got one on scamazon a week ago. Also glad to see you are still fabricating gym equipment!

thanks man, a lot of people bang out a video reel in 5min and it's a hit on Instagram, I take an old school approach of taking tons of time filming, editing, re-shooting, re-editing.... WTF am i doing!!!???

@@CurlsintheRack you videos are good quality for it just being you doing them. Some of these other YT channels have someone(s) to edit and put together their videos.

@@CurlsintheRack impressive man. I hope your channel takes off this year. Really enjoyed your DIY stuff this past year. You are very talented fabricator.

You are welcome, did you by chance use the promo code?

So are you saying the 45 lb plates don't have the same sharp edges as the others? Are the handles even 'rounder' edges than the outer edges? Thanks
@CurlsintheRack Жыл бұрын
Correct. The change plates are sharp… the 45’s are not

Love the first point about the thinness and perception haha. I like the concept of the plates, thin steel, but I don’t aesthetically prefer them. The lettering/numbering looks plain and the hand holds aren’t my thing. I know they’re necessary, but I just don’t like the look of them. 🤷♂️

Yea they look ugly af lol.

Isn’t this a solution for a problem that was solved long ago? I have dirt cheap Fitness Gear plates with handles, and they are much thinner than bumper plates.

send me a link, love to check the ones you are talking about out.

@@CurlsintheRack I'm referring to the ubiquitous Fitness Gear cast plates at Dicks Sporting Goods (pasted link before, but comment got deleted). Pre-pandemic, this set would sometimes go on sale for $150, but given inflation, that price is a distant memory. Even post-pandemic, they go on sale for $250-300, and if we go into recession, maybe we'll see that level again.

@@bokononisti2820 I have the same Fitness Gear plates and they were/are by far the best bang for your buck. These plates by Weight It Out are appealing to those who want the thinnest plates possible. They look cool, but they’re too rich for my blood
@bokononisti28202 жыл бұрын
@@TheSuperSully People crap on the Fitness Gear grip plates b/c the 45s aren't correct diameter for deadlifting, but other than that, they are good value. No going back to no-grip plates after you get used to loading and unloading with one hand.

Going to need some fake weights to use with the thin ones to intimidate the neighbors. Cool product.

yeah definitely, maybe I'll do a fake weight review next ;)
