I first came across your content via another creator’s IG stories. As someone who used to be an intuitional eater and then nosedived into dieting and exercising at the young age of 17 without any professional help, only to develop EDs... and then trying to recover on my own through failed attempts at veganism and what not, and destroying my mental health even more... and still getting confused by the bombarding of contradictory information and data from the health and fitness industry... I can safely say you are an actual ANGEL for making the journey towards a fit life so simple, logical and easy to understand and process. You cut through the BS, you don’t sugarcoat it, you use FACTS. I wish I had come across your content back in 2011, but I am glad I watched the right IG stories at the perfect time and found you. Thank you, Eric!!!!!!! #pancakesyrupgang !!!

I've tried so many times to count calories but I never stick with it. This seems a little more feasible for me. I still would like to try and do a consistent 30 day run like you suggest. I usually use my fitness pal, which is super easy, I just need to get being consistent down! Thanks Eric.

It's funny how common sense (when it comes to weight loss) sounds so crazy. Maybe it's just accepting that none of the quick schemes work that makes common sense seem crazy. I'm saving this video for when I've reached my goal. #pancakesyrupgang

I'm 52 years old and I have been in the game since 19 and I learn every day, you're channel is taking me back to the basics in bodybuilding! Can I just say I appreciate the language that you used in this video. I’ve skipped through so many from other creators that keeping using terms like “lose weight fast and easy!”. I think its so important to be honest that losing weight can be challenging. This is a breath of fresh air.

Another thing with the carbs - if you have insulin resistance like me, eating proteins and fats first help so much in digesting the carbs and assist in curbing that dizziness. Highly recommend!

#pancakesyrupgang. This is good! It is a pain to count every calorie. Calorie counting is definitely an eye opener, I think I've been losing more weight by counting calories, and I've paying more attention to the calories and being accountable. Thank you!

A few quick questions. Would we or could we include fats in this plan? Healthy fats of course but I mean how would we account for them? Also would we neglect the carbs in veggies when "calculating" or measuring our handful carbs?

What about fats? I use a cooking spray but sometimes use butter or olive oil in cooking to add flavor.

If you want to grow muscle, normally a calorie surplus. If you want to lose fat, you have to be in a deficit :)

Hi Eric, I need help with my calorie deficit- I watched your video on calculating deficit but my goal weight (110) times 10-12 is 1100-1320. In a 5’7 (174 cm) female, about 125 lbs. I run 1 h everyday, 30 min abs and 30 min weight workout everyday. (So total of 2 h exercise everyday). I get around 11 k - 15 k steps everday, 11 k at least)
