I love Steffany's worship... I am right here, I go to a traditional church of God in Christ, we are a black congregation... however God prompts this type of worship out of me...pray for me because I am where He has sat me, I do not want to appear weird .... deep...it's just when His glory fills the room...one can not help but to drop in His presence... I love the people and I desire to walk in the light of His love...to have freedom to respond to what He longs to have from me ...and anyone else that is open to His moving... Hey Anna, I too am a part of a COGIC church and I just wanted to encourage you. There are many people who have your heart for worship and God is moving in all of His people regardless of denominations. He is doing something in COGIC too- rest assured. I know how restraining some environments can be, but when people like you push through and have unhindered praise and worship, it's contagious (even if it's prayer in the midst). Allow God to use you to create an atmosphere conducive to more of His presence. And I bet you're not the only one in your church who feels like you do! Even if it's only 2 or 3 of you, support and encourage one another to seek God for whatever He wants to do in y'all, in your church, and in your region. Hang in there!

woe amazing, I too go to a traditional black church, and I worship just like this (laughing in the spirit, on my knees, paining, drawing, dancing, flagging etc..) and I just can't help it! GOD is destroying denominations!!! as each denomination sets down self and worship GOD in the beauty of HIS holiness!!! please continue to worship GOD the way you do...look weird! look crazy! you are actually being a light and people are being exposed to the heavenly things through you as a vessle! The word Spontaneous Worship is a word made in our age but they used to do it in the time of David in the Psalms...Remember when the word Selah is written and this is what it means in Hebrew, “Selah” is also thought to be rendered from two Hebrew words: s_lah, “to praise”; and s_lal, “to lift up.” Another commentator believes it comes from salah, “to pause.” From these words comes the belief that “selah” is a musical direction to the singers and/or instrumentalists who performed the Psalms, which was the hymnbook of the Israelites. If this is true, then each time “selah” appears in a psalm, the musicians paused, either to take a breath, or to sing a cappella or let the instruments play alone. Perhaps they were pausing to praise Him about whom the song was speaking, perhaps even lifting their hands in worship. This would encompass all these meanings-praise, lift up, and pause. When we consider the three verses in Habakkuk, we also see how “selah” could mean “to pause and praise.” Even though Habakkuk was not written to be sung, Habakkuk’s prayer in chapter 3 inspires the reader to pause and praise God for His mercy, power, sustaining grace and sufficiency. Perhaps the best way to think of “selah” is a combination of all these meanings. The Amplified Bible adds “pause and calmly think about that” to each verse where “selah” appears. When we see the word in a psalm or in Habakkuk 3, we should pause to carefully weigh the meaning of what we have just read or heard, lifting up our hearts in praise to God for His great truths. “All the earth bows down to you; they sing praise to you, they sing praise to your name." Selah! During that time for Pause in music, they went into prayer and into silence to give honor and hear from God what He has to say, God did that through His prophets. But as soon as Jesus came and died for us, gave us access to the Holy Spirit. Then when we pray or worship Him, He talks to us and it isn't planned. So after it is recorded live, then it's labeled as Spontaneous Worship. I suggest not to be distracted by why Steph is shaking or how the Holy Spirit is touching her in that personal moment although it's on stage but try and get closer to Jesus personally and allow Him to just love you. Have that intimate close, day by day relationship with Him and this is all that matters.

Man's opinion does not matter.....God is pleased with your praise and your desire to seek and know him. God may have "sat" you there but he didn't intend on you STAYING there. Praise God!
