@@CalistFitness I see where you're coming from, but it's not exactly true. A barbell curl can't be a calisthenics move because the bodyweight version of that would simply be elbow flexion; you're not moving your bodyweight through space in the same way you would with any other calisthenics exercise. It's the same with rope extensions; with no weight, it's just elbow extension. A squat with no weight is still a bodyweight squat, so it qualifies.

@@amortality999 That's only pro bodybuilders of the past three decades though but you have a point. Understand bodybuilders don't train for strength they train for mass, they are very damn strong but the nerves are trained to activate muscle groups differently. Also calisthenics doesn't train strength but predominantly endurance. Your muscles are very strong even if you are lazy bum but your nerves aren't up to par to use all that power. Calisthenics trains your nervous systems to work in groups to move only your body through space in three dimensions so your muscles don't need to be particularly strong or dense but your nerves have to very well developed.

Hybrid training (combination of calisthenics, weighted calisthenics, strength & hypertrophy weight training) is evolving and I believe it will become highly appreciated in the next years. I'll do what I can to make this popular here in the states. This kind of training is what I thrive. However, too many people are stuck on either powerlifting or bodybuilding. There is freestyle calisthenics, but this weighted calisthenics is more along my alley. Great transformation brother. Keep up the great work. 💪🏼

@@PEACE-gc4ip Well It depends on what kind of strength. Its the best to build strength relative to bodyweight. IE - Super bulky strong men probably can do a planche pushup or other maneuvers. In contrast, calisthenics guys probably cant bench 400 pounds. 2 training methods for different goals
