Damn that was impressive! I’m trying to get on your level.

Impressive. I have been a sort of regression of this exercise for the past month or so - a kind of loaded single-leg lateral squat. Not as sophisticated as this. Would love to get more commentary on the details of this movement.

I may do a video on this- thanks for the suggestion. Loaded single leg squats are excellent. I do pistol squats and if you want to develop the hip abduction, try 'cossack squats' also,

That's where I'm trying to get. My tai chi s grand until I get to snake creeps down, which is basically what you're doing there. It feels like a combination of ankle mobility and leg strength I'm lacking, but I will get there one day

Yes, I do a lot of ankle mobility exercises, slow 'goblet' squats with a kettlebell, and hip abduction and rotation stuff. I have made more progress since combining stretching with strength type exercises. Sets and reps to tempo, just like weight training- with at least a couple of days to recover between workouts.
