@@Lena_K0711 That's not an Al song. Many songs are/were misattributed to Al especially during the file sharing days. He does not write "blue" or use profanities. He will go dark and twisted sometimes in his originals but never more than PG-13. There's even a website called notbyal.

Weird Al is probably the only Boomer who sincerely has his hand on the pulse of pop culture as it changes and evolves over time. Like, he was born in the 50s, when Elvis was at his peak and he embraces modern music and artists and treats their work with the same love and respect as the original artist, and not hating it because its not like it was back in his day.

What I love about this one is he used to open shows on his Mandatory Fun tour with this song. And he would pick a random location in the town and start walking from there, to the theater while being filmed and shown on a screen on stage, all while actually singing live (I worked one of his shows, so I know he wasn't lip synching). The dude is amazing!

He started when he was a teenager, he was sending tapes to a radio guy Dr Demento and this guy played them on the radio, people started to asked for the guy playing accordion, yes accordéon. You have only scratched the surface of this video. The timing switches, the lift timing. (whether it really was cut or not it's still amazing timing to start the song knowing the lift will be open and close at the right time, and if it all was 1 take, to have Jack Black waiting on cue downstairs knowing when he was timed in too. That's bloody amazing.

For a couple tours, he started off his shows with this song and started off backstage with video camera following him just like in this video. One time he got off his bus and worked his way around to the stage, all on camera, and we got to watch on screen.

Man, he’s been doing this since before you were born. He has a degree in architecture, but chose this as a profession. He is also a skilled accordionist. Check out some his polka covers. He has great polka medelies of pop songs. His very first hit was “Another One Rides the Bus”, a sendup of Queen’s “Another One Bites the Dust” performed with just his accordion on the Doctor Demento Show back in the day.

I've been to 5 concerts since his last album, came out and I've been blown away every time!!! Best live performer on Earth and his band of 38 years is the best band there is. Amazing musicians. This year he toured with a full symphony orchestra. His encore is The Saga Begins and Yoda with Darth Vader, R2D2 and a stage full of dancing storm troopers!!!!

Weird Al enunciates well on most of his songs, but this one lost me. I wish I could get the lyrics of Tacky somewhere, because I got lost starting with the gal on the elevator. When he did his "Mandatory Fun" tour he would go into the city that his show was in during the day and film this song while walking around and interacting with the locals. It would then be shown at the start of the concert that night and at the end he would come down the aisle from the back to the stage and finish the song

Oh he didn't film it, he did it live. Watch some of the videos people have posted. You can see him singing while entering the concert area with the cameraman following him. The live camera feed is shown on the big screen the whole time.

Not all of Weird Al's songs are parodies. Try out his original "Hardware Store" with lyrics and just try to keep up reading the lyrics while listening. Love the reaction vids. Found you first with RUSH reactions, my favorite band. I am a trumpet player, and my 2 best friends in high school were drummers who told me "you gotta here this band". RIP Neil

Cheers from a long-time fan of both Rush and Weird Al enjoying seeing someone discover them both... if you know your music, you can’t help but love all of his parodies... lyrically, musically and visually. Honestly, Weird Al’s a pretty big reason why MTV became as popular as it did back in the day... and all the big time artists then we’re praying that he’d pick one of their songs to lampoon. I can’t give you just one recommendation... they’re all pretty great, so I’d say check them out based on how much you like the original song. The more familiar you are with the original, the more funny Al’s parodies become. ^_^

You’ve got to see The Hamilton Polka, & then watch the Lin Manuel Miranda/Jimmy Fallon reaction video to it. Lin grew up as a HUGE Weird Al fan, and his reaction to Al parodying his musical is incredible! 💙💙💙

Weird Al doesn't just do parodies of other artists' songs. He also does style parodies. These are songs and lyrics he wrote, in the style of a specific artist or genre. Check out "Craig's LIst", which is an original song in the style of The Doors, where he channels Jim Morrison. The late Ray Manzarek, the keyboard player for The Doors, played the keyboards on this song. It's hilarious :D

Weird Al does an AMAZING live show. On his Strings Attached tour he did tacky walking around the audience critiquing people's dress and everyone has a blast. I've never seen someone do more costume changes in a show and he can still put on an amazing performance even at 60 years old!

I got the chance to see Weird Al Live a few years back... it was absolutely fantastic. and he opened with Tacky. Video started from his trailer, and made his way past "poorly" dressed people, all the way out to stage, dancing, and singing the whole time!. It was great! as was the rest of the show! Also, if you enjoyed the "Single Take" video... you should really check out "Stunner by Dan Le Sac v. Scroobius Pip" it's a great song, and also done in one continuous shot.
