Dark Void got cheated. Without Smeargle being able to use it there is no reason that Darkrai’s Dark Void shouldn’t be an 80% accuracy. It’s not like Darkrai has ever been allowed in VGC outside the final SwSh online format.

The dark void accuracy nerf never made sense to me. It is a mythical's signature move, and they had already programmed it to prevent anyone but darkrai from using it. Making it less viable in standard play than Sing is incredibly stupid, this one change alone makes hypnosis a more commonly viable move over Dark Void.

IIRC the enigma berry IS legitimately obtainable by using pokemon Box. The big thing is that the e reader cards aren’t just an “unlock” to something in the game, the e reader cards legitimately inject data into the game, I.e DLC. So if you have a Pokémon with an e reader berry, put it into a game without the e reader data, there’s no data to pull. I think typical trading is blocked with e reader berries by box made no such restriction.

​@@hex8597 you're thinking of Eviolite, which multiplies Def and SpD by 1.5 but can only be used by Pokémon that aren't fully evolved. Soul Dew, which is explained in the vid, can only be used by Latios and Latias and used to multiply SpA and SpD by 1.5, before they nerfed it.

The sould dew likely wasn't banned for being "Too strong". Chances are, it's because in most generations it's an event only item, and official tournaments always ban event only stuff like pokémon. Only event mons that have ever really been allowed were normal mons with event exclusive moves

The fact that it specifically "fails when called by Assist", rather than being blacklisted from Assist like some moves that really shouldn't be called by Assist (e.g. Dragon Tail) stands out. Particularly because Assist is the cause of several shenanigans, from priority manipulation with Full Incense Liepard+Lagging Tail Purrloin to make Dive's 0.5 priority -> -0.5 priority dodge on both moves, to tag battle trolling with one side running Wide Lens+Dark Void (assist) Liepard to put both opponents to sleep with +1 priority, to the theoretical case of Liepard+Purrloin+Meowstic having *96 lives* with Assist+Revival Blessing...

Forgetting chatter! You mentioned Chatot but not the reason behind its ban. Chatter allowed you to a play a custom voice clip which would cause problems. Also it is puesdo banned just like dark void since smeargle cannot learn it.

Yes. If you transform, you are treated as that Pokémon until the transformation ends. Since your transformed Smeargle is now a Darkrai until it switches out, it can do anything a Darkrai can do. Also, it’s not that Smeargle specifically can’t use Dark Void, it’s that only Darkrai can use it, and any other Pokémon using Dark Void will fail. The same goes for Hoopa Unbound’s signature move, Hyperspace Fury

It's pretty fucked that Darkrai's best sleep-inducing moves is Hypnosis now. Also, I'm not a fan of how certain moves straight-up won't work when used by other Pokémon. I believe Hyperspace Fury was the first such move. Doing so goes against the whole point of Metronome, Sketch, and Assist. In my opinion, they should have modified Darkrai's Ability to also increase Dark Void's accuracy.

I don't get you ; You pick interesting Topics but you´re often rambly while simultaneously providing to little information... Example You decided to talk about stuff regarding Sky Drop besides the mechanics that the topic is about(Grivty Glitch) but don't do it properly since you don't mention key things that makes this move interesting while delving into it, like the Weight Mechanics of the move that makes it so that you can't pick up Pokemon that weighs 200kg or more(Side Note that should have been mention ; Which is my Totem Araquanid was used over Normal Araquanid Since it weigh just above 200kg while being in it's totem form ; another bons fact regarding this that should have been mentioned ; So If you saw a non totem Araquanid you could be pretty sure it had egg moves ; since totem pokemon can't have those which is why totem salazlle never saw any use since Fake Out is an Egg move. ; This prior Example is how you deep dive, you don't even scratch the surface level adequately, encounter this problem from you in multiple video & the sloppyness is very frustrating to watch since it's bad edutainment... ) This time I won't finish the video since elaborate criticism take to much time from me & I'm not getting the enjoyment I'd like to get from your videos, Improve plz!

Ironically, you weakened your own point by going further off the rails in your supposed “on-topic” context. From what started as the move Sky Drop became a discussion about totem forms and then egg moves. The main topic was why Sky Drop got banned, and the reason to it is the Gravity glitch, not any of the additional mechanics, hence why they weren’t explained. No hard feelings :)
