I immediately recognized those human puppets from the show "Spitting Image". It was a political satire show in Britian depicted very exaggerated characters of current political figures at the time.

Yep It premired in the late 70s and aired all the way to the mid 90s Then went on a long hiatus until being revived during 2020 and 2021

@@isaacthemonke233 i could definitely recognize the puppets in the commercials were world leaders from the 80s, i could at least for sure recognize Gorbachev and Margaret Thatcher, it looks like an intentional spitting image tie in to me

The crisps/chips ad - thats a very long campaign, they guy with an apple in his mouth is Gary Lineker, a famous footballer here. He was always stealing other peoples crisps in the ads. The toilet is a stand up comedian called Julian Clarey, that's how he goes on but a lot more explicit. He said 'night on the tiles' btw. It might only be a Brit expression, I dunno, but hope it makes more sense now. The puppets are from a long running satirical show called Spitting Image, they brought it back in the last couple of years. Satire in the UK gets a lot harsher than in a lot of countries. I heard the new version was going to America but didn't end up showing because of that. That shoe ad blew us away back in the 80's, we kids loved it. I think it came out before captain N, I'm pretty sure it was early 80's (yes, I'm aging myself). We didn't have a video game crash here, so games were always popular. BTW, I don't know if it's British, but look up the Kinder Egg advert that was only shown once because they thought it freaked people out. It's the humpty dumpty dude.

5:45 I think those puppets are just holdovers from the "Land of Confusion" music video. And at least the Phil Collins puppet didn't show up lol

Yeah they are from a very long running satirical show called Spittng Image. They brought it back a couple of years ago too.

(1:45) I think the toilet actually said, “night on the tiles.” Other than that, great video as always.

That "Poor poor man" is Gary Lineker, and he's been doing Walkers adverts for years. Hell, he was even in the LAST one with the Looney Tunes in. And I have to ask after watching all of these together, how are these adverts "weird"? They seem no stranger than any American adverts I've seen, especially some Dorito ones.

Let me just say, if I had a nickel for every time I heard Charles Martinet use his Wario voice for a character that isn't Wario (or at least heard a very accurate Wario impression for a character that isn't Wario), I'd have one nickel. Which definitely isn't a lot, but it's weird that it even happened, right?

1:20 That “poor poor man” is Gary Lineker, former England player, current Match of the Day host and mascott of Walkers crisps for the last 30 years. If you knew how he behaved on Twitter you would have no sympathy for him whatsoever!

Did I mention one of my friends is a pretty big fan of yours? Also, regarding your upcoming 10K subscriber special, why would you review the Drawn Together Movie? Every time you brought it up in some of your recent videos, you always said you would never review it, so why do it now? Please don’t take this question too seriously or anything, it’s just that my friend is a little curious.

First of all they don’t take requests, and secondly they’re most likely going to if this one is at least mildly successful.
