Super Adventure Rockman really isn't very violent, I bet Inafune was just mad that he didn't have any control over it, honestly :P For what it is it's alright, it's worth existing for the cutscenes alone, it's like watching a cool Rockman OVA (One that you know, isn't educational, or in the real world lol)

I remember playing the Mega Man kart racer on my cousin's import-PS1. It was....not that memorable. The Power Battle arcade games however, I believe that also showed a silhouette of Zero in one of the endings I believe.

Mega Man 3 was available for Nintendo's PlayChoice-10 arcade cabinets. A quarter bought you only so much playing time, but as far as I know, the game played as normal. I think passwords still worked, too, but I could be wrong. So the regular run-and-gun Mega Man did exist in arcade form.

I played the Power Fighters 2 arcade game recently (my library has one of those bootleg arcade machines with over 500 games on it), and the Bass ending is... *WILD* Willy tells Bass, that he found the strongest material on earth, called, I shit you not, "Bassnium". Oh, and he also calls Bass a mistake

i actually had Rockman Battle and Chase / AND Super Adventure Rockman. I got them at an anime con ages ago and for a long while, i did enjoy them. Roll's jump pretty much neutralized most of the threats in Battle and Chase. I couldn't beat Super Adventure Rockman, but i did get really far. I forget what boss i just couldn't get past. And I hated how they removed the two announcers from the US release of Battle and Chase. they were charming, even though they were very chatty during the races. If given the chance today, I'd happily replay both.

In Mexico I played the first Mega Man game on an arcade. This was back in the 90s. I believe the arcades were hooked up to an NES of some sort. I'm not sure of any other technical specifics as my Grandmother rented the arcades and I was a kid.

I agree Austin, Mega Man 8 was a hell of a Mega Man. Voice acting aside, it had a nice fluid feel to it and to me it was kind of jarring to see 9 &10 revert to a NES style after this. Mega Man 7 is still my favorite.

The only Mega Man spinoff I've played is Mega Man X: Command Mission. I've heard that part of the Mega Man fanbase hates the game for not being another platforming game like the others, but I enjoyed it for the most part. That game was also the first game Axl appeared in so you've at least got to give Command Mission SOME credit for that!

I disagree with Battle & Chase. While I will say that the drifting mechanics weren't as good as they could have been, I love the background visuals and driving still felt good, but just that it forced you to utilise the brakes more and the some of the levels needed to be better which remember, this was one of the first 3D kart racers and the soundtrack by Yoshinori Ono was fantastic. I think that it was a missed opportunity by Capcom to not release it to countries outside of Japan, Europe and Australia. Just like the original Mario Kart, it was the beginning and with sequels that could refine the mechanics, it could have been one heck of a spin off series.

Seriously? Battle and Chase is actually one of the better ones you named. It has a solid OST, tight controls, and for the PS1 era - pretty good graphics. It was going to come out here but that was during the "Chris Kramer" era and that man *hated* MegaMan and all 2D properties. He told me I better start importing because Capcom wasn't releasing MegaMan 6 stateside.. and they didn't, Nintendo did. It's a miracle MM7 even came out because of him and I'd bet he's part of the reason the US localization of MM8 and MMX4 were both utter crap. I've owned or still own most of the others on your list.. aside from the mobile games. Super Adventure Rockman was pretty bad and so was Rockboard. Sold both of them. I still get a kick out of Battle and Chase and the soccer one though!
