That “I’m older than you” makes sense. For those who don’t know, even if you are slightly older, or someone else is older than you, that happens. Age is not just a number in Korea. If someone is older than you you have to show a lot of respect.

Most of the time it is, but with Filipinos it’s kind of hard to distinguish them from other ethnicities and I’m a Filipino myself. I look Spanish/Native but my Mom looks Japanese. I don’t even know I’m with another Filipino until I say a sentence in a Tagalog. A lot of Filipinos look Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc. So, sometimes it’s hard to distinguish.

i mean the ones who have left buzzfeed have made youtubes videos on why so you can just go search their videos and hear their personal thoughts. don't know how buzzfeed would make such a video or want to as they'd be biased and not reveal the whole truth. but the basic gist of why people are quitting is that whatever idea an employee produces at buzzfeed, it automatically becomes buzzfeed's and the employee can no longer use it or claim it as their own. their creativity and freedom is cut short and they're not allowed to create content outside of buzzfeed. there were other reasons but i remember that being an overlapping reason in why a majority of them quit

@Sara R. I know there can also be koreaboo’s who are Kpop fans but stereotyping all Kpop fans as koreaboo’s just isn’t it and well I just didn’t see it. All he/she said was just koreaboo’s not Kpop fans who are koreaboo’s, so I didn’t get the point (still don’t understand why he/she called them a koreaboo), just because the small stuff in the video reminds these Kpop fans of Kpop idols doesn’t make them a koreaboo. That was all my point.

Everyone in the comment section is complaining about kpop fans, and then there are people complaining about not seeing any of those comments. How about we talk about how hot Claire ( if that's how you spell her name ) is. Like damn, she's really beautiful. 😍😍😍

Irene N. koreaboo's are pretty much people who fetishize Korean culture and most of the time, they are fans of kpop/kdrama. these people WANT to be Korean, not the ethnicity in which they were born. while it is more than okay to listen to kpop & watch kdrama & even learn the Korean language (that's called "observing the culture"), we as non-Koreans need to remember that Korea is not a fantasy land full of pretty people. they go through hardships just like everyone else in the world. a koreaboo does not care about that though, they will only think Korea & their culture is something they can use however they want and frankly, it's not cute bc they are disrespecting a culture. sorry, i know that was long but i hope this helps! so it's ok to like kpop and all that stuff, just make sure to be respectful and genuine.

no baekhyun no life im actually genuinely korean and I'm 10 and embarrassed by it because I remember at school I would bring in my lunch bag and my snacks and lunch and I am always embarrassed to eat so if I have rice or something like that I usually don't open my lunch and most of the time don't eat. I used to beg my mom to pack me like pasta or American food. I always thought what would it be like to be American and some people say omg I was born in the wrong country blah blah blah blah but most young koreans are embarrassed just to eat in front of people. I had learned that korean food is not embarrassing but sometimes I don't want to eat... so I guess the moral is to don't just look in the bright side of things.

Irene N. ahhh, i'm glad you're not embarassed anymore though. you liking American culture isn't wrong at all bc if you like it, then you like it and that's ok. but for example; i'm part japanese and pacific islander. i'm not korean at all. but i say things like: "omo....jinja? unnie! kahasamnida for the bread!" i think a lot of people would tell me to stop using korean language like that, you know? ^^ i have korean friends & they say they do not feel comfortable when they see their culture or language being used playfully, that is where i learned my opinion ^^ but you are correct, we should see the bright side of things but i think respect is also important bc culture is also important to many people (:

Johnny Kiehn well FYI, these things actually do happen in korea. So, maybe because he hasn't been brought up in korea or maybe because it's only understandable among koreans, which triggers him to not behave like that. I guess though.

Its true though to some extend. There are 4 general types of personalities which again are subdivided into 4 personalities. Psychologists say there are roughly 16 personalities There are some studies showing. correlation between blood type and personality type.
