Weird Ways 1965

Made by two 13 year old boys in L.A. On Ecktachrome 16mm movie film. Featuring neighborhood pals Eddie Colman and Chris Casady, their toys and models. In 1965 there was a spy fad, begun by James Bond movies and seconded by several TV shows that Eddie and I followed, Man from U.N.C.L.E., Get Smart, Wild Wild West, Honey West, and the spoof feature films Our Man Flint and In Like Flint. We identified and fancied ourselves spies. We were 13 year old spy wannabes. hence the trench coats, knives in our shoes and speaking into a light meter as if it was a secret radio. The rest was spontaneous play and experimentation with the medium, camera tricks, horsing around making jokes.
