I'm immediately awestruck by the fact that, based on the excerpts available, the diary guy dedicated unprecedented time & energy to documenting his life but absolutely none of that went towards documenting his emotional state, aka the reason people typically journal. He tirelessly preserved every detail of his day-to-day activities, the minutiae of his home environment, the physical processes of his body, yet we have no idea what he was thinking or feeling as he did it. Absolutely fascinating person, I want to read every word he ever wrote.

My father created The Whole Shabang flavour. If you would to experience the chips, the flavour is under many names now, Zap’s Voodoo chips is the main one though. Second to that would be the Syracuse style terrel’s chips, sold mostly in new england, whereas voodoo is sold in the southern and western regions of the united states.

Wow. I kept a journal every single night for all four years of high school and that was hard enough. I was nowhere near perfect with the schedule. If I went out one night, just didn't feel like doing it, or had company, i just skipped it. So, the next entry would summarize everything from the days I missed. I wrote down whatever I thought was most important to remember later, not bms and meals and blood pressure. I even wrote down stuff I did that I would totally be grounded for. Very early on, I knew people were reading them behind my back, especially my parents. So, then I had to start writing two of them every time I wrote. The real one, which was very well hidden and never found. I even lost them for a time because I kept moving the hiding spot. And the other I left "hiding in plain sight" for my parents to read which had made up stuff in it, none of which would get me in trouble. And it was hard to keep going once a day for 4 years. I could not imagine having to do that every 5 minutes.
