they also made multiple radar and heat detection equipment for fighters and the Harpoon missiles on US Navy ships until their military division was sold to Raytheon…they basically designed the Javelin but had to sell the division to recoup after it got caught being fast tracked after complaining from rivals

"1975 April 4 Company Bill Gates and Paul Allen founded Microsoft.[1] As a result of Microsoft's founding, Traf-O-Data became defunct. "1975 April 4 Products Microsoft released its first product which is called the Altair BASIC." And that is debatable - because essentially they bought Traf-O-Date and thus loosely the product became "part of their company" - However the first "real" Microsoft product is: "1981 August 12 Company IBM announces the release of the IBM Personal Computer, which becomes the dominant personal computer. As DOS was the only operating system available on the PC when it was introduced in New York City, this paves way to the future domination by the MS-DOS operating system.[3][4]" - after having bought the full rights QDOS in on July 27 that same year. Calling the Altair Basic the "first MS product" is kinda iffy - since it wasn't made by MS - just continued by them.

it sold data processing not any actual computer…they did sell processing to Seattle in 1972, under that name, and kept the company active until being revamped as Microsoft so it’s accurate…the only reason it wasn’t active past 1972 was they were still in high school and then attending college!
