Can attest to this. I'm a trans man who had to quit T due to financial issues. I was on it for about 2 and a half years, I think? I had never felt so good about myself. As soon as I quit and the T fully got out of my system, I developed premenstrual dysphoria disorder (PMDD). Every month, it's an absolute battle with my already-dire mental health, because suicidal ideation just swings in full-force for a week. I'll be crying hysterically at the smallest things, or throwing objects around in blind fury. Bodies apparently do not like it when hormones are incorrectly messed with. All that being said, I hope that you're adjusting alright to your new treatment.

Without also taking hormone blockers I doubt there'd be any long-term side effects, the estrogen would usually be replaced by his natural production of testosterone as it is the stronger hormone, especially if all of this occurred over a short period of 5 or so months (however the effects on each person will differ depending on their genetics and lifestyle i.e fitness, diet etc. ). Taking any medication that has not been prescribed under professional supervision obviously risks nausea, cramps, fatigue etc. and although long-term effects are less likely without hormone replacement, it's hard to rule anything out definitively without knowing the specifics.

I think the bigger concern with giving the estrogen to someone is not the muscle loss but instead it could cause ED and penis shrinkage. Something that could cause turmoil in an existing relationship.

It depends on how long he was on it, and if they were also poisoned with testosterone blockers. I've been on both for 2 years (I'm trans). It took a year until shrinkage slowly started to happen, and ED still isn't something that I deal with yet. It's different for everyone, though, and estrogen can really mess with pre-existing health issues. The biggest concern would likely be gynocomastia (unwanted breast growth) and damage to fertility.

Input from someone who has been transitioning for the past while (who is familiar with this stuff): The amount of effectiveness of estrogen on people varies a ton, some people have higher T levels or lower, and often that makes a difference in how quick changes occur, which correlates with the dosage (1mg, 2mg, 4mg, 6mg). What also matters is whether or not the guy was also lacing the preworkouts with T-blockers, where that included would've made much of a bigger impact. Also individuals past the age of 25 experience replacement hormonal change on a slower level compared to someone my age (early 20s, mid-late 10s), but that slower level is usually taken as the expected timeline of events (6 months for breast development with soreness a month in, also reliant on T-blocks though, maintaining pp bloodflow too possibly). Some changes can be almost immediate, but that also hinders on the existence of T-blockers. Just estrogen impacts fat and muscle distribution along with breast development, sterility possibly. Hopefully the band member hasn't experienced too much these unwanted changes, and hopefully T-blockers weren't also used on him. Really sucks seeing stuff like (which has helped millions upon millions, both for transitioning and adjusting hormonal levels for someone who experiences imbalance, etc) this be abused and used for malice. Anyways that's my silly breakdown of the specifics :>

im sure you probably already know this, but in case you dont, you can order progesterone online and have it shipped to you, since its not a controlled substance (unlike testosterone). i believe the main manufacturer that offers this is based in israel, though, so that might not be super possible atm
