Dane's (Jon Snow) family history is complicated. But the sword in the end credits is called the Ebony Blade. It is an ancient and powerful weapon that grants incredible power. But that power comes with a blood curse. What the cuirse is depends on who's doing the writing, but it usually involves going berserk and slaughtering tons of people. The voice that asks if he's sure he's ready is the voice of Mahershala Ali, which means that the person speaking is the MCU version of Blade.

"I'm drinking Coca Cola from now on" made me laugh out loud. The voice at the end was Mr. Mahershala Ali. He will play Blade (also played by Wesley Snipes in previous iterations) in a future MCU movie. I wish we got to see him suited up, but I don't think they actually had Mahershala on set. Dane Whitman (aka Jon Snow, the actor Kit Harrington) is a Marvel superhero in his own right. I won't spoil it, but he was on the Avengers with Sersi at one point. I don't know if he will get his own origin movie or what's happening there. Technically, though they give Phastos ("the Black guy") says the term "uni-mind" first, it actually comes from the comics so you remain correct that Black people would've thought of something cooler. LOL. I loved this movie when it came out. Was very sad other people didn't like it much, but I found the family dynamics very interesting. The final fight is great especially when Makkari and Phastos go off. You can tell they had been holding back for awhile. I understand that some people thought so many characters were confusing but I didn't find it so. I really want a second one because I feel like people would be even more invested now that they do know the characters. And they can bring versions of the "dead" Eternals back because they are basically robots and their minds are programmed. I think it'd be really cool to see Thena, Druig, Makkari and Eros have to fight Gilgamesh, Ikaris and Ajax to free Sersi, Kingo and Phastos. And obviously we have to find out what Dane is up to with Blade the Vampire Hunter!

So all the Eternals have names that are connected to myth/folklore in some way, and in the comics it's either implied or outright stated that they inspired those myths (I haven't read much of the Eternals stuff). Ikaris=Icarus, who flew to close to the sun and his wax wings melted and he died. Sersi=Circe, the sorceress from Greek Mythology. her power to transform things fits with the myths, where Circe had a habit of turning people into animals. Gilgamesh=Gilgamesh, a hero from ancient Mesopotamian myths Sprite=A sprite is usually a type of fairy, and they're generally seen as tricksters, hence the illusion powers. Phastos=Hephaestus, the greek god of the forge and invention Thena=Athena, greek goddess of war and wisdom Druig=This one's a bit unclear. There doesn't seem to be one mythical figure that he's based on. He might be named after Druids, who were Celtic priests who worshipped nature. Ajak=Named after Ajax, a greek from the Trojan war, said to be one of their strongest and bravest, second only to Achilles. Kingu=named after Kingu, a figure in babylonian mythology. Makkari=Mercury, the Roman Equivalent of Hermes, the god of travelers and messengers. Eros=Eros is the greek version of Cupid, god of love. In the comics, he's Thanos's brother. Thanos, rather than being from basically the other end of the universe, was from Titan, the moon of Saturn (presumably this was changed to make him less of an immediate threat by having him be from the same solar system as earth). He's purple because he's both an eternal and a Deviant, because in the comics both are made from the native race of whatever planet the Celestials are experimenting on. So on earth, both are offshoots of humans. Occasionally, "Deviant Syndrome" crops up in an Eternal, making them look mutated in some way.

@@joker3973 1. Technically yes, you did very vaguely compare this film to others (although no names or particulars), as I quote: "The fact that it is not like anything else, *makes it better.*" 2. I never said no one could ENJOY a film, sure like it if you want. I personally fucking hate red onion but ass tons of people still eat it despite that. But to effectively tell me to shut my mouth and deal with it, is frankly no better than if I were to tell you that you HAVE to hate this movie. Films are art, and ALL art is subject to fair criticism. Criticism and competition motivates improvement and innovation. To enjoy something basically "just 'cause" is cultural suicide, in my opinion. To live in a world where everyone has to enjoy something for the emotional sake of people we hardly even know.. To ignore and shun ideas differing from one's own for the sake of "letting people enjoy things" is the killer of IDEAS *You* never forget *that*

In the comic books Thanos is deviant but he wasn't a eternal. Maybe for the MCU Thanos was an eternal who absorbed the powers of the deviants which is why he looks so different from Star Fox. In either situation Thanos know about the birth of the celestials throughout the universe. But when he said he knew knowledge no one else knew it could have meant that and by eliminating half of all life in the universe the universe won't need to grow so no planet would be destroyed only crippled. Also the body of tiamut is supposed to be the island of genosha which will be a safe haven for mutant and ruled by magneto also the rock tiamet body turn into melted-down will be antimanium which is what wolverine's claws is made of.

I felt the 7.2 in ridgecrest in my apartment in Fresno California. I had never experienced one until that day. It wasn’t a strong shake at all. But was more than enough to feel the movement. Such a crazy feeling. I can only imagine how a 9.0 feels.

It will likely get a sequel. It will also likely be called Judgment Day. The day Arishem returns to cast his judgment on all of earth. This might also be the at the time when an all out war between the Avengers, the X-men, and the Eternals ensues.

@@Bossko.Mafana There’s a nearly 3 hour long video on this if you’re interested. It’ll tell you more or less where Marvel is probably going to go from here. In the comics however, it isn’t Arishem that returns to judge humanity. Tiamut was revived by Tony Stark with the help of other Eternals. But they rebuilt him with other celestial body parts. He was basically a Frankenstein. They revived him because of the 3 way war that I told you about. Upon his revival, the celestial immediately yells “CEASE”! Sending immediate terror to everyone on earth. He then starts casting judgements and killing some avengers and Eternals and X-men. He even kills Thor with no effort at all. Thor tried to attack him and was immediately flash burned to where his whole body fell apart and only his skeleton remained. The Avengers and some Eternals and Jean Grey managed to convince the celestial that it was wrong and it decides to merge with Ajak giving her a colossal power boost. He did revive everyone he killed before the merger of course lol. It’s really cool stuff.

I love this movie cuz it proves Thanos 🫰was right If you’re reading this, but you haven’t seen Eternals, here’s a quick recap of the ending - or at least the parts that matter for Thanos. At the movie's start, we’re told the Eternals are aliens sent to Earth by the all-powerful Celestials to protect humanity from the evil Deviants (basically giant CGI tentacle monsters). However, as we later learn, that was all a big lie cooked up by the ancient and all-powerful Celestials. It turns out the Celestials created the Eternals out of synthetic material for a specific purpose that’s much less altruistic. It gets a bit complicated at this point, but basically, the Celestials reproduce by planting a single seed in the core of a planet. The seed feeds off the energy of intelligent life on that planet, which, in the case of Earth, is humans. The Eternals’ job is to wipe out all the Deviants so enough humans can exist to fuel the seed until a new Celestial is born. Oh yeah, and when the Celestial is born, the entire planet and everything else living there get wiped out in the process. What does this have to do with Thanos? Well, as Eternals reveals, when Thanos snapped his finger and wiped out half of all life in the universe, that set back the Celestials plans. All of a sudden, there wasn’t enough intelligent life to power the growth of new Celestials. That means Thanos essentially saved the Earth from potential doom. (Then again, as some Eternals argue, the end of the Celestials might also mean the end of all life in the universe since Celestials have the ability to create entire galaxies.) Regardless, for the sake of this movie, the Celestials are essentially the bad guys, and that means stopping their plan is a good thing. In other words, when Thanos turned half of the Avengers to dust, it was a net positive since without him a giant Celestial would have exploded out of the Earth and wiped out 100 percent of humanity. Of course, that’s not what happens in this movie. Ultimately, the Eternals turn against the Celestials and defend the Earth (or, at least, some of them do). In the end, even without Thanos, someone would have come along and stopped a Celestial from exploding the planet. But hey, at least thanks to the Mad Titan, we got an extra five years before the Earth started to rumble.

Starfox isn't a villain, unlike his brother, but he is a horndog. There's literally a comic arc of him defending himself after being accused of rape because his powers which can stimulate pleasure (much like Druig affecting the mind) were out of control after Thanos tampered with them.
