Fun fact: While Christopher Lee was an expert fencer (even at the age of 79), he didn't know the first thing about katanas (which lightsabers are meant to be handled as). So they designed his lightsaber hilt to allow him to handle it like a rapier. Also, the movie theater crowd went bananas when Yoda walked in to fight.

The reason that the Storm Troopers missed so much in the first movie is because 1. They were ordered to. Moff Tarkin, the man in charge of the First Death Star ordered the forces to not hit or capture them but to herd them so they could escape because they put a tracking device on the Millenium Falcon. This way they could find where the Rebelion was hiding. 2. The force has a will of destiny also and tends to help force users, so it actually helped cause the Storm Troopers to miss in some situations. It is reveled that Han Solo didn't believe that the Force was real, and or helped people, but he had notoriously got out of some tough situations at times in his life where the force was protecting him. 3. The Storm Troopers wore the armor suites with the helmets, and they didn't have the sensors to shoot with the eyelines aiming set up. They did the typical war movie trope where the storm troopers shot their blasters while holding them at waist level, and not in front of their faces but if you watch Luke and Leia, and Han they tended to somewhat aim the blasters when they shot them. The Storm Troopers being bad shots is a joke, and or myth established from the first movie, and the following movies didn't really have scenes to unravel this. Do remember that Obi-Wan Knobi told Luke when they found the Jaw Was transport that only Imperial Stormtroopers could be so precise.

Also I think a popular theory is that the troopers in 4 are "second generation" troopers and not the clones of Jango. More draftees and other people. Maybe a few clones left but most likely not.

I think I read somewhere that Syfo Diaz is the one who erased the records in the archive, because he wasn't sure WHOM he could trust; as he discovered that the Sith were deep into the republic's social structure and even had influence on some of the Jedi. How he relates to Dooku and Sidious though I never found out. Whether he was being manipulated or was trying to expose them, I don't know. I did find out however that HE had SEEN the Sith coming for a few years but the council didn't seem to take his vision seriously. Just like how they instantly doubted Qui Gon when he TOLD them he had fought a Sith; they just brushed it aside saying that it wasn't likely a Sith that he fought. The council just assumed THEY knew better and ignored what was happening right in front of them.

Yes as a huge star wars fan, the fanbase sadly can be hella toxic most of the time but if you ignore the majority of the BS the universe is especially enjoyable. The clone troopers are so much better than the storm troopers by a long shot. Padme was like, "We can't be together Anakin!" *Wears leather lingerie while telling him* Hayden Christiansen is the GOAT along with OG wakanobi in the prequels, their banter is covered even more so in the Clone Wars series, It's really good stuff lol I hope you continue to do the series and maybe the shows! Great to watch 2 SW films in one day with you dude! I always leave a like before the movie on your videos because I always have a good time. It's crazy to think about how common assassination attempts(like those on Padme) used to be on presidents and candidates back in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Nowadays you very rarely hear about any. Mmhmm. It's kind of why I recommend MOST people watch this twice. Lots of stuff normally gets missed. Imo it's a lot better than many make it out to be. But I enjoy a lot of the political and mystery stuff. Think Jango Fett adds a nice wrinkle to the movie. The fight scenes are some of the best in the entire franchise as well. :) is it the best movie in the series? No, but gets too much hate at times

It is very over wrought with CGI but if you strip that away and pay attention to the story, it's quite complex and you wish you could get a better understanding of what Sipher Diaz (sp?) knew. The veil of the dark side had not fallen so he clearly anticipated something was brewing and was being pre-emptive. I think, anyway. Like you, I agree, any SW fan doesnt hate on this. They're a part of the universe and story. I'm so forgiving of it all I never noticed til Leo pointed it out that Yoda battles hardcore and still has a cane lol. PS if you like mystery, all I can say, is there are actual truths being hidden in these films that relate to the real world. The titles even do so.

You didn't need to know Anakin is Vader. Some Star Wars fans have an obsession with people experiencing it the exact same way they did, while I don't feel that is necessary, and honestly it a bit counter productive. It usually breeds bias's onto new fans which don't need to exist. For years people watch the OT first, making them automatically like it more by default because Star Wars is so good, the first time you experience it you always want that nostalgia again with the movies/shows you started with. Even though I saw the original trilogy first back in the 90's, I actually think they should be watched with the flow of time as it moves in the story. Then people don't have the main father son drama built up until last and the films get better and more interesting as you go along. Then after that, the sequels aren't as interesting, but at least we get closure, and understand that The Force is bigger than any specific group of people, and than younger generations will keep the good fight going.

Clonetroopers and stormtroopers are not the same despite looking similar. I can’t explain the difference without spoiling episode 3. I’ll say that after the Empire is established the Empire starts recruiting regular humans into the Imperial army. Clonetroopers are grown. Stormtroopers are recruited.
