Tara you are a lucky girl. You have a good man who takes care of you. I have one of those too. He has been taking care of me for 43 years. The older I get the more I appreciate him. Great video.

The woods of Wekiwa Spr SP bordered our back yard where we lived for 30 years, Wekiva Glen. The bears were a regular thing. My son (in charge of trash) had a 5-gal bucket of baseballs to chase them away. Brown bears don’t eat dogs and are only a threat if they are protecting babies. Ticks, however, were a huge problem! Teeny tiny ticks. I miss the Sherman’s Fox Squirrels and huge Pileated Woodpeckers. Nearby Kelly Park/Rock Springs Run (county park) is the spring head, fun and easy tube run if you can handle the chilly spring water.

Love your channel! We are looking to move up to a fifth wheel from a 26ft travel trailer soon. Being prior Air Force (both of us) my husband and I can relate to your checklists. We have similar checklists and I've found a few things to add from yours. Thanks!

We loved it too! Especially because we had no clue what it was... Who doesn't love a surprise beer island while canoeing! I have to say, though, that is has made subsequent canoe trips a little disappointing. Really cool place though!

This park looks lovely. We loved diving John Pennekamp SP several years ago at the far south end of the state. The ocean wildlife was beautiful!

My hubs and I are prepping for an April 2019 Full-time life so we are trying to soak up all the good advice out there. We too will be bringing a bike on our travels. Not an Indian, but another well know American Made! We will be keeping up with you and hopefully some time our paths will cross! Stay safe and enjoy the ride!

Used to be St. Andrews St Park PC Bch, but it got hit hard by Michael. Not sure how much is open yet. Several pull-throughs midways for big rigs. Used to be a good handful on the water for big rigs. The far end was extremely tight. I'm sure you have at least driven through it, if not stayed. Plus you must book about 10 months out for a good spot.

We Have stayed there a few times. Nice park. Did you know some sites have sewer hookup? Pro tip, try to not to leave the park to go to town on the weekends.You will get stuck in the line waiting to get back in.

This is the best tip you will ever get about this park. We made the mistake of going out for groceries on a Sat morning, didn't think much about it. When we got back there were lines in both directions going into the park to get to the springs, not the CG. I walked up to the gate and asked them to stop traffic (if any) coming out so that we could get back into our site. Nope they said. There was another gate about 100 yards away but our night code didn't work on that gate, said it was for employees only Luckily a Ranger came along and took pity on us. He said follow me thru that second gate and gave us 10 free passes to any FL state park. He shared that this was an everyday problem and that the State Parks Division refused to cut another lane into the park for those going to the springs. We'll never go back because of that. Now years later with all the newbies buying RVs during Covid you won't get a reservation anyway so it's a moot point.

Have you ever been to a Delaware state park? Lums pond state park is 5 minutes me. It has an RV campground. We also have RV Parks and other state parks with RV sites in the other areas of the state. We only have 3 counties. Lums is in Newcastle County northern Delaware. Delaware Seashore at Indian River inlet is in Sussex County. Very nice right on the ocean. Lots of fishing and beach activities. Trap pond is in Kent County. Check it out. Sorry Trap pond is also in Sussex County. But does have RV camping. I ment to say Killens pond State park is in Kent County and has RV camping.

Hi, we have a Keystone Raptor exactly the same size and a 2016 F350 dually same color so I absolutely love watching your videos it's like comparing apples to apples. My husband is convinced we can't go too many places because our rig is soo big but you make it look easy. I have always been told nothing over 30ft would fit in a state park, do you have a list of the ones you have been able to get in?
@ChangingLanes5 жыл бұрын
Many state parks are big rig friendly. It's the national parks that are more size restricted on average... Looking at our state parks for 2018: Wekiwa Springs (this video), Three rivers, Mike Roess Gold Head Branch, Gordonia-Altamaha, Skidaway Island, First Landing, Curry Hammock... Those are across multiple states. Thanks for watching, Kim! Hope you check out the rest of our channel. Many of those state parks are in our videos.. 😊

state parks can be noisy at times, some have rangers to keep things in order
@ChangingLanes6 жыл бұрын
Yea... especially whey they have tent campers and RV's side by side. But, 95% of the time, a quick (polite) chat with the neighbor will resolve the issue... Luckily it's the exception rather than the rule. Most campers observe quiet time.

Chad, were you wearing a mic while canoeing ? Your voice came through well

Nope... That was just the GoPro Hero 5 Session. The audio on those and the Hero 7 aren't too bad.

we had a neighbor there that had a bear get in to their cooler two nights i a row in the back of their truck the most the ranger would do was use a bull horn to run it off for a few hours we watched it from the RV looking into tents and stealing any food it could find

A little late on this. But the only thing I found on a Tarzan movie made there was some amateur homemade video. Real Tarzan movies were filmed in Silver Springs / Ocala area so may have been confusing it with that.
