Jesus! Neil, you must be doing well! What a bonkers collection. (I guess you have to pay for those expensive suits somehow LOL 😆). Ever since Top Gear did the Spyker years ago it's been on my dream list. The interior art deco is truely a masterpiece including the exposed linkage. The hard top looks better than the convertible too. As for the Kaeve entrance, just gorgeous. Love the copper on black asymmetric inset.

Thanks for tuning in! Top Gear did the Spyker years ago indeed, great video on classic Top Gear beauty shot style! The interior with the exposed linkage and real alu parts is great indeed. The hard top / coupe looks better indeed compared to the convertible - especially the hard top for the convertible is rather terrible... Glad you like the Kaeve entrance! Gold/brass colour (rather than copper) on black is the main themse. You'll find it in the logo and the structural beams inside too.

Mr. van Roij, in the video there were several classic cars that you wanted to do a custom coach build on. Is there any car that you wouldn't want to coach build to create your own vision of what that car could have been?

Mr. Bootsma, thanks for tuning in. A selection of classic cars were mentioned as a possible base for a coachbuilding donor car - not personal preferences but a range of opportunities. In that light: there is not any car specifically that wouldn't work as a coachbuilding base vehicle - although it depends on the vision of the client. We adviced against a Phantom Coupe for a donor car for Silver Spectre Shooting Brake and opted Wraith instead: solely because of a better proportional statement on the latter. De series I Range Rover heb ik altijd de leukste gevonden. Dat was nog een tractor. Maar ehh.. uitdaging? Maak wat elegants van de Avantime. :)

De series I Range Rover is - zoals bijna alle auto's op leeftijd - nu een exemplaar dat we als collectief zien als lief leuk en schattig in vergelijking met hedendaagse exemplaren. Zie ook VW Transporter en Golf. Geen van allen ooit bedoeld als schattig of vriendelijk, maar door de tijd in een ander perspectief beland. En over Avantime: daar valt weinig aan te verbeteren! Het concept is absoluut briljant in haar radicaliteit. En de elegantie zit 'm vooral in het unieke concept.

@@NielsvanRoijDesign Je kunt volgens mij inderdaad niets aan de Avantime veranderen zonder er een compleet andere auto van te maken. En dan is het geen Avantime meer. Vandaar mijn "uitdaging" . Elegant vind ik hem niet maar wel geniaal eigenzinnig.

@@martinphilippo1347 Inderdaad. Ontzettend veel fantastisch getekend karakter. Bovendien is elegantie zeker niet altijd het gewenste streven. Avantime is een perfect blok: imposant, maar niet agressief, groot, maar niet meedogenloos.
