He's not trying to kid anyone that he doesn't have a much better place to live when he is not fighting, but this is where he lives when the work needs to be done which is quite a considerable time I suspect. Is AJ humble, Naaa. at 6" 6" 17 stone, I don't think humble is the right word. He's a very focused, very professional athlete who is smart enough to max out his time in the heavyweight division by keeping it real, living and training the right way, minimum distractions and always aware you are only ever as good as your last fight.
